I discovered some important information about how the OPERATIONS and PATCHES work the other day and it sounds like there are others out there that need help understanding how they work too.
You can only earn most patches by completing active OPERATIONS.
When you click on OPERATIONS you will see 5 active operations, but what I didn't know is that there are actually more than those 5 available to you. There are actually 50 active operations for you to work on at one time.
There are 5 categories of 10 active operations each:
PERKS / FIRST CLASS / GAME MODES / WEAPONS / GEAR
If you highlight one of the visible operations and hit the "A" button (XBox) you will find the list of 10 operations active in that category. You can select any of those 10 to show up on the list of 5 for a visible reference on how close you are to completing it.
So there are 5 visible active Operations and 45 hidden active Operations that you are working on at the same time.
When it talks about "GETTING/BUYING" new operations for 1 Squad Point, you are going to replace all 50 Operations. Although some of them will be the same when a new set of 50 is bought.
BONUS SQUAD POINTS
In a 2 week span, if you complete 5 Operations you will earn 4 Bonus Squad Points when your time reaches zero. If you complete more than 5 Operations before the two weeks is over, you will not earn more than the 4 Bonus Squad Points, so once you complete 5 operations before the 2 weeks is up, go ahead and spend the 1 Squad Point to buy new operations. You will collect your bonus squad points at that time and reset your Bonus Status back to 0 so that you can start earn your next set of bonus points. This way any Operations you complete will always count towards a Bonus.
I hope this helps.
