Played my first game with a clan member tonight! Great fun...slight problem....
Owing to the fact I live in the UK, in order to play with the majority of people here, I will generally only be able to play when the fruit of my loins are all asleep, or at least trying to. To get round the noise issue (AR rounds whizzing about aren't the most soothing of noises added to the general loud expletives used on a regular basis), I always wore headphones when playing the 360, and on the very rare occasions that I spoke, the kinect worked suitably for me as a mic. (I have a really good set of headphones that I use for DJ'ing, so no mic attached) Now comes the Xbox One....
That doesn't work, despite all the options to turn the kinect mic on and off, nothing seems to work, so i'm left with the option of playing in total silence, which is not really viable, or no mic, which is not the one either.
It seems to be a well documented issue with no resolve at the moment, so the question has to be asked, would anyone actually mind me playing with no mic, until it's resolved, or should I just wait until there is a solution, and come back? As much as I'd love to go and splash out on another headset, I really can't justify the cost at the moment. Your thoughts are welcomed.
