Did anyone else get told they withdrew from the clan and they are no longer in it without actually withdrawing? Because I am no longer in the clan and don't know why.

Something is wrong because the clan rank hasn't moved at all

It appears that some members were kicked from the C30W. I was one of them I guess because I didn't compete in the London clan war. I personally think that kicking people without telling them here or on xbl is a dick move but its his roster so he can do what he wants. Best of luck C30W.

Well I knew this was coming and yes the roster was pruned back down to 40 until the next one starts. When the next one starts we will be matched up with other clans of around 40 members instead of 50-60. The last one we barely had more than one full party on and running the entire clan war. It was already stated when this roster was started this would happen. Once the next one starts and you are added back if you want back in your scores count and you get the unlocks if we win. I kept track and there were 13 people on the roster that played less than an hour during the clan war. I am sorry but the handful that were on the roster and trying to win can't carry the ones that arent when we are up against clans with 18-24 people playing at a time. So we need to be matched up with smaller clans or we don't even stand a chance.

You can revisit this thread and read what we were/are doing with this roster.

I understand but a heads up would have been nice instead if trying to figure it out on my home. The holidays were real busy for me but I have played plenty of time with you winners and played 10 hours the last two days with dizzle, gamer, invisible and few other 30 s but you weren't on. Just couldn't play as much last week or this past weekend. You do what you want just annoyed because I put in a ton of time in and get kicked for working too hard.

[as much as it pains me Smile] In Winners defense this was mentioned over and over and over again on the forums - that the "Over30Clan Wars" roster was for highly active participants only as well as this recent prune.  Please keep in mind this doesn't mean you're out of the clan.  Also consider how difficult it is to manage a roster - XBL will only allow you to send mass msgs to 10 people at a time (per day I believe / this is an anti spam measure) which makes it difficult to use XBL to communicate these changes.

You are more than welcome to switch between the two rosters any time you like - just let Winners or myself know.  Sorry for the inconvenience fellas it was nothing personal whatsoever.

It is funny that all the people I talked to about this and pruning after each clan war and no one is posting like no one knew about this. When it has been discussed at lengths in just about every party I have been in.

Mick I apologize for what it is worth. You guys are taking this the wrong way though. It is simple math let me explain. Not to mention you aren't kicked out per say. You got the body count gun camo for nothing and you get added back after the next one starts if you are going to participate.

We had 54 people on the roster. We were match up against a clan that had 56. We had on average 6-10 people playing they had on average 16-24. So in order to try and remedy this it only makes sense to lower the roster number and hope to get put against clans of around 40 and less and that they have less people playing at a time. Also that it might take less wins to capture nodes.

I totally understand and I knew about what you said it's just I have put a lot of time in with playing with you guys and get dropped for being busy the last couple weeks. I would like back in and guarantee I am on playing because this roster is who I play with. Thanks

Everyone is welcome back as soon as the next clan war starts. Not a big deal as everyone will get unlocks and scores will count this way and hopefully we dont get our asses kicked.

Its a numbers game. The less people we have at the begining of the war, the easier and faster we can cap a node. So if the group is pruned back to the most active members, and then invites are sent out to those that were cut as soon as the war begins, any that still want in, can rejoin. That way all the calculations for the war will be based on the smaller group. We are all busy, more or less at times, but this does make sense per the numbers.

This is what I was thinking. If the clan match-ups are based on number of clan members at start of CW, what prevents a clan from entering with 10 players, then inviting 20 more to bump up their members to get more CP per members wins (compared to the 10 person clans they're matched up with)?

If this 'light loading for good placement' trick works, is this something we want to use in our favor? Not to abuse it, like starting with 5 and bumping up to 40 after it starts, but start light and increase based on requests?

Just saying, because what prevents other clans from abusing this? If it works.

I was just thinking the same thing. However, if we get TOO many people joining late, we would probably need a few people inviting.

Really, if you are going to do it, do it right.  Start with 5 and bump to 40.  What's the difference with starting at 15 or 20 and bumping to 40?  Just be up front and own the abuse. Gaming the system is gaming the system, no matter how you slice it.

Is it shady? Or is it just smart play?  The nitty gritty is the more active participants you have the better your chances at winning.  If you can't get a lot of people (50+) online at the same time (which we can't because we're adults and have lives) then I say fuck it and play the numbers game.  I honestly don't see anything wrong with it because we don't have 50 on at once.

I'm assuming nothing can stop you sandbagging because once you're placed - you're placed.  If it gets out of control then the only thing I could see IW doing is locking a roster down once the op starts.  However I highly doubt that'll ever happen since they can't even implement the simplest feature to set a clan to invite only  Rolling Eyes

Yep perfect sense; not sure how it's going to work for clans that boot people and then tell them they can come back though. Should be interesting to watch.  bounce

It'll be locked by next clan war, it is a huge issue that they will fix asap.

Figures they do this now after everyone is abusing it as our last clan war they had 54 at the beginning and 76 at the end. Sucks because the ones that have been playing each one can not carry the 25 that play an hour during the clan war.

Aye Aye Captain Wally!

Heads up - Roster lock for next Clan war

maccabi Jan 9, 2014 4:15 AM

Well we asked and looks like Beachhead listened , starting the next Clan War , Clan rosters will be locked the day before a clan war starts .

you will still be able to add new members to your clan but their scores will not be counted towards your wins.

Thanks Sith. This makes sense, just like in any sports competition. Lock the roster right before the game starts. After it's over, you can join as normal.

This is how it should have been from the start. What sucks is the fact that out of a 54 man roster only 20 put in a lot of time and effort. Not sure where to go with this from here. If you want back in just apply or message me on xbox.
