| Could it be that the lag comp is so screwy that the aircraft isn't where it appears to be, so the reticle is not aimed at anything according to the host? Can't lock on if it's really somewhere else... Also can't lock on through trees sometimes, but you can lock on through things that will detonate your rocket before it hits the target Good times. |

| I've had trouble with the stinger latley.
Have done the pull the trigger to early.
Also I noticed some times if I get the rocket off and die before it hits it will sometimes not land.
I ran into the tree issue last night and at 1st thought I was pulling a bee swarm and getting pissed trying to lock onto our own aircraft.
glad to know I'm not the only one having trouble with it. |

| Canis - I completely agree if they'd host their own servers this issue would be non existent. We'll never see it unfortunately due to the added cost and maintenance on their end. All that hardware and people to support it cuts right into their bottom line. | |

| You are right BlackDeath, it would take us (the user) to pay for it and I doubt they are willing to take a chance on that. Even though MS requires payment.
I never get the plane/chopper fully in the reticle because the lock-on typically happens before that moment. As long as I am close the lock-on beeps. This may be due to lag issues.
I do wait for the lock-on before pulling the trigger.
With the Reaper there is usually a lot of smoke around me and I do not actually see the plane so I move the reticle around until I get the beep and that works.
I now wait a little after lock on to make sure the aircraft is free from any obstacles. Sometimes the missle willl go around the tree and sometimes it will not. And on some maps I do not even bother pulling my stinger out because I will never find the UAV, or there are so many obsticles that I will never hit the chopper.
Lately I have the same problem of shooting the stinger, die, and the stinger missle never makes it to the target. Even though it clearly left the barrel. This seems to be getting worse.
I cap a flag and get almost to the next flag before I hear that the flag was capped. Flags get capped before I hear that we are losing it (single person on the flag).
You have probably heard me mumbling to myself when the ingame voice is telling me to shoot down the Advanced UAV and it is no where to be seen. The UAVs are worse.

| I gave up early on using launchers for aircraft - the lock time was ridiculous compared to blops. I use sam turrets exclusively now. | |

| Blind Eye Pro-Stinger
Chopper down in .5 seconds. In fact, when they call in a strafe run you can take out all 5 in 2 shots. Aim for the second one in on both sides and you've just got 5 chopper kills and an instant killstreak.
Hearing "Enemy Strafe Run Incoming!" is like a dinner bell. |

| Lol.
I know I have to be quick when you are ingame. Usually don't bother pulling out the stinger. |

| Aha, that answers my question, I think.
Does it make any sense to pay extra for a good connection if they are simply going to dumb it down to the lowest connection?
I have to two spare hamsters that are just sitting around getting fat. Why not fire my broadband company and get these two to work for me. |
