Getting around no party chat on ps3

I was thinking about this last night and correct me if im wrong but I know o xbox if u muted some one u would not hear them, but also they could not hear u. If this is the case as long as we had the whole other team muted we could speak freely inbetween matches.

pretty sure on xbox if you mute some one they can still hear you, you just cant hear them.

On PS3 if you mute them they cannot hear you. This would work if the comms were half way decent. I can barely discuss how tasty my beverage is let alone coordinate loadouts.

It's too bad there isn't a way to link your voice settings to your clan affiliation.

So it's confirmed muted people can't hear you on PS3? By comms, I'm assuming you mean microphone. What kinda are you using? I just use a Blue Ant bluetooth wireless headset (same I use for my cell phone) and I think it works quite well as far as getting my voice into the lobby. I'm sure others have also heard my dogs barking...and if I turn up my surround sound loud enough I know that gets picked up even if I'm 3-4 feet from a speaker.

I use a set of DPX-21's. It's not an equipment problem. This game just has a terrible chat system.
I was being sorta backhanded sarcastic about this craptastic game that I love/hate.

Yes the mute is a 2-way mute.

I typically just mute anyone with a mic on the other team. Makes game time more enjoyable.

Too many kdr whores playing dom and then ranting how they owned you when their team lost pretty bad.
