Hardcore or Softcore?

Hardcore or Softcore? which one do you prefer?

I, myself, enjoy hardcore. Why? because 1 shot is all it takes well maybe two it depends lol..in softcore you can pump an entire clip into someone and they still get you in the end lol.

I know i suck but an entire clip for just one person is way too much lol...

Hardcore FTW. Equalizes the poor lag and I like the slower pace.

I am so glad more and more are coming to the hardcore side. For the longest time the only one who wanted to playhardcore was DarkerDaze and I. I think it is the best form of BO. I just wish they had a hardcore dom playlist. I don't mind CTF and HQ, but dom is what we do best as a clan.

Problem with HC Dom is that whoever gets B wins by default, all the have to do is protect thier spawn and pump explosives into the B area whenever you go in to cap...

I've tried to give it a chance, but I just don't care for it. I find it extremely campy. It gets super quiet as everyone is waiting for everyone else to make the first move.

it can get campy, it just means you got to find a way around those campers. It gives you a chance to work on your reflexes a little bit lol....

I am with Cerebus, I have tried playing 10 or so matches with the clan and HC is a totally different game play style. I don't enjoy creeping around and being forced to camp. In Core all I do it rush and shoot, that suits I game play style much better. Only thing I do like about HC is using a FAL silenced cause it only takes one hit....that is when I just sit in one place the whole match.

Two things that make me prefer hardcore...#1 I love the campers, flank them and you get some easy killstreaks...#2 Id much rather kill a guy with one or two hits than have to deal with a guy who I have the drop on but he turns around, jumps then drops to prone and hits me with a sniper rifle...Additionally since it takes 1/2 a clip on some weapons to get a kill, if there is a group of three running together you actually have a chance if you run into them where on core there is no way...

We've won HC dom matches after losing B by getting it back, it can happen. HQ is probably the toughest Flags game I've played but if we actually had a plan I'm sure we could win.
Lately I've been playing HC TDM when solo or frustrated with my consistent 3 bar connection.
That is all of my HC opinions.

I enjoy HC but you guys are right it can get a little campy. HC CTF seems to be the gametype with the most campers.

Did HC last night with the clan. Talk about frustrating. Of course this is coming from someone who's name should be "USMCLastplace." I'm sort of with Savvvy, whole different game play for me. BUT, if the party was a little more tactical with moving together, communicating and holding positions, I think it would add to HC. And that's not to say the clan doesn't communicate. I've completely enjoyed the shit out of the clan play for the past 2 weeks. I'm talking about the team moving as a team, dare I say a Fire team. Sorry, had to throw out some Jarhead shit.

i'll play any mode the host chooses, win or lose i always have a blast running with a team.

HC tdm is the only HC i feel comfortable with and the only one i get good results with. Ive tried flags but for some reason i get jumpy and antsy and play terrible. I usually wind up team killing and being booted.

I used to only play core TDM, then I joined the clan and started playing DOM, hated it at first, now I like it. Then I started to work on perks, hated trying to get plants, now I love demo, S&D, Sabatoge. I also hated CTF, now I love it. Same with HARDCORE. I decided to give myself 50 games of each type for the alltime leaderboard. Now most new games made me uncomfortable as i was not used to the new game style of play. But if you give yourself some games to get used to it and actually try new things, loadouts, tactics, killstreaks you may find that you can improve as a player or have some more fun. I know that for me, actually giving each game try and honest effort and not just camping, has added a lot of new fun for me.

Maybe i am just not a good core DOM player as my SPM in that game type sucks compaired to the rest.

HARDCORE if possible.

I used to play alot of HC on MW2. Gave it a go in Blops and discovered what a true pain in the ass SC is. SC coupled increased campiness, made HD TDM a no go zone for me. Since the introduction of Bombs and Flags I have returned to HC.
I like the objectives, it reduces the random camps. Of course the objectives are camped but that is expected.
I think I preferred the ricochet variant in MW2 tho. I paid the price for my mistakes, not my teammates. I also think a vote to kick should be added. After 3 TK's everyone votes to kick or not. And I think the outfits of the soldiers should help identify friend or foe more. ghillie suits are the worst. I watched a guy with a ghillie creep in the HQ once waited to see if it was friendly. No green/blue name appeared after he came thru the door so I shot him. Well it was a friendly after all. This is why comm is critical in HC objective games.

I really like hardcore, but afther the asswhooping I got last night I am thinking I may have to go back to core for awhile and sulk. I apologize to Daze and Fishboy and the others I played with last night for being such a whiny bitch. We got manhandled on HQ and all we seemed to get to play in the rotation was HQ games. HC is fun, but going 12-36 consistently and getting shut out takes all the fun out of it.

I'l take HC any time. It makes up for my bad connection and I'm a creeper. I played this AM for a bit and was mopping up. 35-9, 53-10, tons of chopper gunners...it was a blast. I felt like Nixon!

I find my best games are in the AM. I figure it is becuase I am fresh and rested and all those little shits with their super fast reflexs and good eyesight are still asleep after staying up till 3 in the morning. When I get on early I do better becuase the playing field is leveled and I am sure I am playing against old men like myself.

I perfer Black Ops just like I like my PORN Hardcore!!

Softcore

I like the fact that if you dont have a silencer then you will apper on the map, makes the use of motion and jammers viable. More people move in softcore compaired to the CAMPING M*$&%*%$ in HC.

HC games go like this.... Start... Run to the closest building and camp the door... Game ends. Boring as hell. Thats basicly how every game of HC I have been has gone.

It seems that most people hate HC CTF, for some reason I really like it. I know there are going to be campers by the flag. I like to run flags. I will try to get behind their flag and find the campers then make a mad dash home. It gives me great pleasure to find someone laying prone ADS on the flag, walk up behind them and hawk them. I just wish you could let them see the kill cam on those.

As for whining I do my fair share that is for sure. And I send out appologizes ahead of the game because someone will always jump infront of my bullets. Just hope your not getting close to a good killstreak.

For me HQ can go either ways in Core or HC. I have had just a high a persentage of ass whoopins in HQ on both, I just think its the nature of that game mode. I just really like not getting a bunch of hit markers and no kill. I also like using the m16 and the FAL is just so sexy when equiped with the torch.

Fish, I won't pull us out of the CTF lobbies next time! I'll give HC CTF another shot. We actually had some good ones last night. After the initial diagnosis of the camper hideouts on Stockpile, we had some success.

HC Dom is by far my favorite, but we also issued some beatings on HQ.
