I am now a USAS fragger!!!

Finally unlocked the USAS over the weekend and then the frag rounds. Hell yea!!! Had some fun with you guys and it may be the only gun I run on Metro, Seine crossing and Bazarr along with the medic. I just had to get some reveng with that damn gun, I mean I have probably been killed by that damn thing a thousand times (at least thats how it seems to me). I can't wait till I am bored with it and then it will only be brought out once I get pissed off.

I feel quite dirty everytime i use it and getting killed by it is one of the very few things that makes my blood boil in this game. A good teabagging of the subject after i kill him helps lighten the irritation though. Ive tried to use it less and less and basically metro is the only map i break it out. I have way more success with the famas which alot of people consider OP.

I usually only use mine on Metro. That is unless I switch to support to hand out ammo, and I forget to change my gun. Then I feel bad using it, so I try to knife everyone

The only map a break out the FAMAS is Metro as well. Only 100 kills fewer than the AR I use for every other application in this game.

Yes the FAMAS is OP on that map. More recoil does not effect the gun when it is close range like that, so you get all the benefits and none of the negatives. It is like the finger of death on that map.

I am a dirty little boy because I love the famas also. When I first unlocked the usas I put it on every class, now it is only on the medic for the close maps in a couple of days or a week it will probably dissapear all together. If they totally got rid of the gun then that would be ok with me also. I swear one game I played on seine crossing the other team must have had 7 guys with ammo packs and usas w/ frags all around C, I gave up on that flag.

The USAS is nothing compared to my sniper 870 shotty!
Rifle scope + slug rounds = 1 hit kill to the head and 2 shot kill to body

Real men use a shotgun that takes up half the screen while they run!

Boooo! But only because I havent' unlocked the frag rounds yet. I am sure it does feel dirty and satisfying to hand it back out after getting usas'd all the time. I figure by the time I actually unlock the frag rounds for it they will nerf it so it doesn't work anymore. Is the FAMAS really that good? I never really used it and have just stuck with the 416. Are you recommending to use it on short maps like Metro only? Inquiring minds want to know.

For me yes. I like to do long range plinking so the L85A works best for me. The slow ROF means I can burst fire/single shot fairly consistently without changing the fire selector. FAMAS makes for poor burst fire for me since the bullets come out so damn fast. Combine that with the higher recoil and they end of the gun is flying all over the place. Closer ranges where the targets are 'bigger' the recoil is less of a factor. Also on small maps I can use the suppressor and not suffer the negatives from the drop. Suppressor helps reduce the recoil as well.

Metro Noob Machine for me: FAMAS, Supressor, Grip. Be sure to bring paddles and health so you can get MVP ribbons...

Hell yea, I am a noob master, that famas setup is exactly what I use. I had one metro game (still hate that map) and after the game was over it just said 19 Ribbons, I was like what is 19 ribbons and someone said thats how many you got that round its not a special one. I am a true blonde some days.

The slug round was 90 kills and the rifle scope was 125 kills.
Not really that hard considering how decent shotguns are in the game.

I love trying to snipe with it but as you can see from the guys video, running with the beast is retarded. It's hard to see much of the screen.
I'd love to have a rage mic like MW3 to hear guys upset at getting sniped at long ranges with it.

Agreed limited vision. You essentially can only see people coming from the left. "Uh, yeah, I can help at B, but I can only make left hand turns to get there... so wait a second"

I can't wait till I unlock it aswell. I am sick and tired of getting killed by it and want to join in the fun.

Thats some crazy shit right there. I love my suppressed G18 but it looks like the 93R is a beast. I think im pretty close to unlocking it too. Maybe a little co-op today and i can get it done.

I love the 93R I unlocked this gun as soon as I saw it.. fully auto hell ya baby!!!

Have not unlocked the 93R but I love my G18 supressed. I am such a dirty little boy.

I know this is a little off subject, but I somehow changed the famas setting to three round burst the other night. I don't know how, but it seemed to kill quicker. How do you change the fire rate on those weapons that have the option?

I have no issue using the USAS w frags on maps like Metro if we get spawn trapped. Baazar is another candidate if things get dicey (no pun intended). It's less useful on other maps since the choke points and cover are more significant in size or spacing.

When I first started playing BF3 changing to single fire was THE best thing I ever did. The first couple of guns really sucked so the single fire was better for recoil control, best thing for me in the beginning and I love killing people with single fire weapons.
