need help to upload vids & add commentary

Hey all. This is going to sound really dumb in part. But hopefully informative. Maybe somebody can make the response a sticky for other video noobs.

I'm following the Elite Vault instructions to upload clips through the replay, save it, upload it then render it. It only seems to work for me when my clips are less than 30 seconds. However, I have a full match vid I want to upload that is only about 5 minutes. It wouldn't even work for a 1 min 11 sec video. Am I doing something wrong? Or are there limitations? How do other people upload their whole match vids?

Secondly, I couldn't here anybody's chat during the match let alone my own voice. How do other people have voices on theirs? How do people add commentary? Is there a program? Can I use my headset while I'm recording the clip?

Thanks for any help. Step by step instructions would be a bonus!

There are a few things that I know from researching it you need a video capture card. After that, you render it in your PC and layer commentary over it through something like movie maker or more professionally something I have that I used when I was doing videos for WoW was Sony Vegas.

I am not sure how it works out right now, since I have yet to obtain a video cap card but I am thinking about doing that. This can get very expensive, you need a higher end vid cap card to capture hd gameplay, and if you really want to get into it, you can buy a mic and the whole shebang. I personally play on one of my monitor computers for the moment ( I have my tryhard pants on) so I would kind of suggest that set up so you can capture the video then move to rendering it and so on.

Unfortunately with theater mode you will only get game sound, no chat and are limited to (I think) 60 seconds of video upload.

I use a Hauppauge 1212 HD PVR to record gameplay as I'm playing. Game chat is a little trickier. I use a set of Astro A40s headset that has a mix amp. The mix amp has an output for my microphone and controls to adjust game audio and chat audio. So I take my microphone output and the game/chat output and run it into a 4 channel mixer which combines all the audio into one output which then runs back into the PVR for my audio input. I use the mixer because it allows me to adjust all the different audio. Otherwise my microphone would be way too loud.

Sounds like a pain and there are probably easier methods but this seems to work well for me. I will try to put together a setup video to show all this.
