| Hello, everyone.
My name is natehughes02 on PSN.
I'm new to these forums and I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm an active player and have been playing competitively since the first Halo. Back when you went to LAN competitions and didn't have all of this glitchy internet junk we now play.
Anyway, I'm currently running a clan that will shortly be disbanded due to inactivity and most of the larger clans soaking up everyone. It's a hard world out there when you didn't grab the Founders early on and get an xp boost. I'm also a Founder/Premium, but I've already used my xp, sorry.
I'm really just interested in this clan. I'd like to know if the forums and in-game grouping is active. I used to be in a clan where we filled up Ground War parties with ease. I'd like to be apart of something like that again. I'm on for most Clan Ops, but no one else is ever on, I'm hoping your clan is active in that area, as well.
I've also got a wife, pets, a house with a yard that needs to be cut a lot, I work full-time, and attend college full-time. I still play a moderate amount, however.
If you can handle an old-school Halo player, who's wife won't let him play sometimes, and understand that life comes first, yet still have active players when I finally get to play, I'd really like to be apart of this.
Feel free to reply. I'd really like to know what Over 30 Clan is all about. I'm about to be a free agent.
P.S. - I also have a lot of experience with forum administration, as I've run and basic coded a forum powered by Invision Power Board using PHP and AJAX. I'm still learning the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but I'm a Computer Science major with a minor in Computer Information Systems. I'd be very interested in helping maintain and/or moderate the forum, as well. Just some FYI. |

- No worries, we don't discriminate against non founders or even non elite members. We are all over 30 (or close to it) and we play to have fun. we have 600 members from uber competitive to playing for shit and giggles. There are 3 elite rosters on PS3 side and 3 on the xbox side. Finding people to game with shouldn't be too terribly hard. I have friends online at all hours so finding some running buddies is not too hard. All your magical computer words seem fancy and make you come across as relatively intelligent. While some would classify us as mature gamers to say we are immature older gamers is probably more accurate

| Hi there Nate. We've got a very active group both on here and in the game. Some guys are on every night, others only weekends and when the honey-do list is completed. During the time I play, 7PM PST onward, there are at least 2 parties going on a daily basis. There are no requirements for membership other than to be 30+. We have been doing well in clan ops so the 500 founder XP is not necessary. What Sly said is true, being a larger community (not really a clan) our members have a variety of reasons to play the game. Some like to just unwind and have laughs getting multi-kills with a Javelin, and others who are more focused on winning and building KDR, but we all do try to have fun and play objectively as a team. One thing we all have in common is respect for each other, although it doesn't always show on the surface Some members also participate in friendlies with a couple other clans and we also have some in-house 1v1 and 6v6 tournaments on the go. There is lots to do here, you are welcome to hang around and check it out. https://over30clan.forumotion.com/t218-new-to-the-clan-here-s-what-to-do |

| We are a very active group on the forums and in Game. Like they said I try to keep some inhouse tournies going. We currently have a 1v1 that is about to wrap up, and a 1v1 and 6v6 that just started. We participate in clan battles and Clan Ops. I just started the 4th Roster on PS3. Currently I am the only member on that Roster, but I was able to get 195 confirms and gained 250 XP for it last night. We always have new members showing up. Apparently more and more adults are looking to get away from playing with kids. Go figure. If you decide that this is where you want to be then welcome to the clan. | |

| Thanks for the responses. Since I'm only 29 and don't know anyone in the clan, unfortunately I don't meet your specifications. However, perhaps after some of you get to know me, you might allow me to join. Until then, I'll follow the rest of the steps in the new member section to get to know you guys and group up. |

| Nate- Once you pick a user group, add some friends, and start playing with us you are in. The entry bar is low. No one really needs to vouch for you. We don't even care if you belong to another clan.
When I log on on any give night there are 24-30 guys on my list playing. Most on MW3. Some on BF3.
Once here you get out of it what you put into it.
Audio said it perfectly, the membership is diverse in every way. If you can respect that then you will like it here. The leadership here is a flat structure, meaning there is The1 then all of us. No generals, no lieutenants, no nothing. The admins make sure no one tells someone elses mom to fuck off on the forums, but dont/can't/won't tell me where to be and when in game or otherwise (they can try, but they know better than to do so).
The near complete lack of structure works for us.
You want to set up practice times? Go for it. You want to set of a friendly with another clan? Go for it. You want to use Throwing Knife and Pistol only? Go for it. If you can post it and get people to show up then you can do it.
Enjoy your time here.

29 is fine. You get a pass. You can join me on Roster 4. I'll get you into some games and you can help me earn some XP for the new roster. | |

| Welcome audio put it best. We are a diverse group we have every one from doctors to mechanics in the clan. We talk crappy to each other and make fun of stupid 12 year olds. No one cares about kdr. Most us do take winning seriously. We play a lot of dom ...and I do mean a lot. Just remember not to ever take a in mission and you will do great.

| Welcome to the 30! Can you post some comments about your old LAN competitions? Just curious, how it was structured and set up. | |

| Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I will let you know when I'm able to accept an elite invite, as I'm tying up loose ends in my clan before I disband.
As far as the LAN competitions, I have to think back 10 years! Let's see, our clan practices we held in whoever's house could hold us. We had a HUB with 16 seperate XBOX consoles, all tied to 16 seperate TV sets. There were miles of Cat5 cables, but we kept each one under 75 ft. to keep any lag out of connections. The tournaments were set up almost exactly the same, but on a smaller scale. Usually those were 4v4. It was so much more personal as a clan because you wouldn't really play online, unless you wanted to play a clan vs. clan. For whatever reason people would come together in their towns and cities as a clan, and then play other clans. The "online" clan of people all over didn't really exist. |

| Welcome to the clan. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Nate's are like Highlanders. There can only be one! Therefore I must destroy you. Have fun, this is a great group of guys and gals. I hope to play a few games with you in the future, but I tend to slum around with the BF3 kids currently. |

| Haha. Well, you were here first so I guess you win.
On a side note, I will be sending out friend requests to the clan members in the Central time zone to begin with, there are many of you! I was wondering if there was an easier way for me to meet people and to get my name on people's friend lists. It's all to possible I missed that information or I didn't see it on the forum board. Anyway, some of you may be getting a message on PSN. I started off with people close to my location for lag reasons, but I'm happy to group with anyone! Just send me a friend request. Thanks! |

| I've accepted the clan invite on elite, but every time I click accept, it just takes me to the general search for a clan page. I guess it will update, if not, you might want to send it again, just in case. Elite is so buggy sometimes. |

| Welcome to the clan. Ive been a member for like two weeks and have no regrets. In fact in spite of all the crap that Activision/IW has done to this game this group has given MW3 new life and made it fun again. |
