Knocking the Rust Off

First time playing COD (or any FPS) in many months last night and holy shit was I rusty. Managed to avoid going negative all night, but man, the reflexes and aim were shit.

I think I only hit a 7 KS once all night. BUT, even though I sucked, it was still MUCH MORE FUN than having a great night on MW3 IMO. The maps seemed like they were designed much better and hit detection was far more consistent.

If they release a game that's just like Blops 1 without fucking second chance (Turp, you cock gobbler) and knife lunge, I'd be pretty pleased overall.

I'm hoping to be online for Blops in the coming weeks more often, so let's get it on!

Keep in mind we will still find things to bitch about in Black Ops 2.

Things will be better if we remember what MW3 was like compared to Black Ops though.

Hopefully shotguns get the Modern Warfare stats and not the Black Ops stats though so that they will be playable as primary weapons.

Good gaming with u last night FBD. I really think when I play at work with this damn closed Nat it makes matchmaking and my lag worse. But I hate not playing at work cause I can play as long as I want without having to listen to the wife nagging me about going to bed.

I had a good time running with the old West Coast 30 group. I didn't get to play for as long as I wanted and didn't get to play with a lot of the EC30 guys, but I will get back on BO more and more. when I log in it will depend on what everyone is playing to determine if BF3 or BO will get put in the PS3.

Surprisingly good fun.

MW3 is a great game with a terrible connection and spawn problem. There is a lot I hope they bring to BO2 from MW3. After dealing with IW I am not sure I will complain about 3arc again.

Lag was all over the place. Some games it was great. Some games you really have to pump them full of ammo. All and all it was mostly enjoyable.

I think BF3 helped my BO performance. I will have to check elite to see how bad I did.

I noticed my BO performance was better last night than in the years past. I do think that playing BF3 so much really made controlling the weapon in BO on full auto so much easier. Aim and weapon recoil is childs play in BO compared to BF3 so it was pretty fun. The down side was there was a few games with the laggy/poor hit detection, but other games were great.

BO has no weapon sway either... its almost too easy to shoot after becoming used to MW3 weapons

I'm excited to unlock the g11. (I'm at l43, and the g11 unlocks at 44 with the Commando)

I never used it in blops the first time around, but I got really good with the T95 in MWFail, so I'm thinking it will be a good tool for me now.

Burst weapons weren't my bag until I just got so fed up with the lag in MWFail that I found the T95 with rf to be a bit of an equalizer because of the potential for a 1 burst kill (sometimes).

I do miss the quick lockons with the launchers with BE Pro though...The Strela takes a week to lock on.

Jason, try the M16, I love burst/semi auto guns and I found it more accurate than the G11 to be honest, plus you can add attachments to it

G11 was okay but my burst weapon love in Black Ops is the M16 with silencer and ACOG.

We know that silencers reduce the maximum damage range of weapons.

The M16 is special because it's maximum damage range (3 hit burst kill) with a silencer is about the same as most weapons without a silencer.

It certainly LOOKS funny, I just dont get it?

M16 in black ops is certainly beastly, I prefer the G11 myself. But M16 dual mag is no slouch either!!!

I like them both (G11 has great sound) but the lack of attachments is annoying

Yea g11 attachments suck but tbh it doesnt really need any.
