Slam, mav, missiler.
I'd love to see you guys do a video 1v1 against eachother in mw3 then review the vid frame by frame to see the differences from each point of view. What do you think?
Maybe mav and missiler could do one on bf3 as well?

This could be done on mw3 during killcams. The PVR would have to be recording the game then you would have to have the same clip from theatre mode to actually see the lag difference.
I mean you could just take the 2 clips from each persons perspective but it wont actually show the difference between what is in real time versus what the game is showing in theatre if you get what I am saying. I will make a short kill cam clips now and post each version.

Thanks chef.
Scott what I was thinking is play a match, one guy sends his vid to the other, and that guy syncs them side by side as close as possible according to the gameclock. Both vids would have to be the same frames per second, and the guy editing would have some work cut out for him but it seems like it could be done. Even if they were a few frames off we should still be able to identify the massive corrections that take place at the point of character interaction.

On another note 1v1 side by side vids would be quite entertaining.

i got some games from last night - not 1v1 but ill have a look...pvr or not i think you're going to always see theater ahead of what your screen is showing (unless you're host)

here is a clip from a recent game
left side what im seeing on the tv - right side theater
here is what i find ironic...
on my screen actions are taking place before theater HOWEVER the enemy actually shows up first in theater vs my screen i fire EIGHT rounds before a hit market shows up on my screen. In theater it appears TWO shots and he's dead and falls before I actually see it.
for the most part lag comp helped me here but i got lucky IMO because in game he was actually there about a 1/3 of a second before I saw it - he also fired a shot off first but missed
edit - im uploading a much better comparison that focuses on a lost gun fight including killcam reply and the sync issues involved

Great job both you guys. You can really see how much theater mode sucks. I'd be more then willing to try this out with comparing two actual gameplay recordings.

I wonder if there would be less lag overall if they didn't have all that extra crap flying around on the screen.

zero hit detection and lost gun fights - watch in HD
i counted SIX fucking hits on that guy on my end but the game didnt see it that way
