Prestige and Hardened Editions

I've never bought a Hardened Edition of any game......or a Limited Edition.

I had been waiting on BLOPS 2 to announce the HE and planned on ordering two copies of it. I wanted to pre-pay for the DLC and was hoping we'd get all the old zombie maps like they did for BLOPS (gave the old WaW zombie maps with the HE).

I figured we'd get one or the other.......the old zombie maps or the future DLC.

Instead, for 20 bucks they include a zombie map.......one zombie map.....no future DLC. We do get some nick nacks though. Avatars, weapons skins.........stuff I never even change from default.

So I decided to toss Microsoft the money for a Limited Edition instead. Halo 4 is giving out some useful stuff with their Limited Edition (3 future map packs totaling 9 new MP maps) along with all the avatar stuff and weapon skins.

I pretty disappointed about it to be honest. I was looking forward to getting my first HE from CoD but they have to give us something that makes it a value.

I see no value in the HE package this year.

do you get dlc with elite

Ya I ordered the care package, but I thought elite came with it, but it sounds like it doesn't Well at least I got the other goodies!!!

I dunno if j should pre order elite or not havent heard anything about dlcs for it or anything dunno if its worth it or not this tkme

from what I understand elite 2.0 is just an improved elite its not a new or separate elite

if you want to continue with cod dlc's you'd simply renew your elite premium sub and whenever they release or activate it - elite will become elite 2.0

Elite 2.0 will work the same for Blops2 as it does for MW3, only they're adding some new features and refining some of the old ones. According to some of the stuff I've been reading, the DLC will come pretty much the same way that it is now.

I preordered just the game, I want the remote control quad-rotor though, so I will be upgrading to the care package. It just sucks that I have to fork over $180 for blops2, and then another $50 for Elite.

Thnz for info. I only got hardened cause u knew i would probably get elite and u didnt feel like paying over 200 dollars cause then that takes away from me getting my ps3 lol

The real question is will clan level continue or will it be reset with the new game? I haven't been able to find any official word on this yet.

my guess is that Blops2 clan rank and Mw3 clan rank will be different. I think it will be set up like the individual elite playercard, with separate areas for Blops2 and MW3.

Well an upgrade to Elite 2 sounds better then. But these are 2 different game companies (COd vs Modern Wareare) so not sure how that would work. But 1 Elite package for both would be great! I'll just renew it each year.

Just read that there are no more pro perks in BlOps2 but now you can have 2 or 3 level 1 perks and up to 3 attachments on your weapons. Plus you can adjust your perks to be weaker or stronger...somehow..didn't really get that part. So more new cool stuff!

If you look at the current Elite, you can look at your stuff from both Blops1 and Mw3, They're both Call Of Duty games, just made by 2 different companies

hmm, interesting....Elite is the way to go for sure..

I don't regret getting it the first time, and I won't regret getting it this time around either...

if you have elite premium now you will just renew for another year and the service will eventually be renamed "elite 2.0"
