Emperor's Shouldn't Be Mods

Shocking I know. I have seen what it was to be a mod. And it scared me. The temptation to abuse the overwhelming mod powers was to great. You may all be my subjects but I have no wish to subjugate you.

I think some people confuse what a Mod really is. Though you all serve me, you do not serve a Mod. Tis the opposite. Mods serve you, the good people of the 30(and the bad people too).

I have known for sometime that, though I am an asshole, I am not a sanctimonious asshole. No one likes those. While some may feel sanctimony is a requirement to mod, it is not. Nay. Naaaay! Sanctimony does not make someone a better moderator or even a better person. It only makes you a Douche.

I hate to admit that I would have abused my Super-Duper Mod powers had I not walked away.
I would have fueled the fire of a thread, flamed some people then locked that shit down tight, but only after I got the last word in. And that would make me a dick. And there are plenty of other things that make me a dick. Such as being condescending.
