King of the week

Was wondering if anybody was interested in trying to bring back king of the week, I know we have tried in the past to do this but I don't know how much interest there was. If anybody is interested we can try to do it by time zone, west coast, east coast, central and we can and should include our brothers and sisters across the pond or we could do it by elite rosters. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll propose a plan to vote on.

We used to do it by time zone. West coast vs East Coast. Or Central vs East Coast. Either way, it was best of 5 in domination. Winner got bragging rights and a special designed signature to be used until the next king was crowned.

i'm a bit confused - "king" would imply this is an individual honor...but best of 5 dom would imply a team...?

You people are getting all hung up on the words. Let's just call it monarch of the week and move on! The point is, I want in!

What about Potentate? Or Soverign?

The aim was to give one region bragging rights for a week over everyone else. Yes it would be 6 man teams. One suggestion is to have alternates in each region waiting to jump in to ensure full parties on both sides.

And the final bonus game would be free for all on Nuketown.

Sounds interesting, I was not here when we use to do this. As I am understanding it there was a contest of best of 5 Domination (6 players and alternates) with teams broken down by location/time zones? When this happened before how many teams competed and were teams just who was available at the time of competition?

It's good to see a lot of interest in this. We need to decide if we want to do it by time zones or by elite rosters. Migs it can be done on the Xbox side, just need some one to set it ip over there. It would be best of 5, all domination or it can be a variety. If it is variety the first game could be domination with the winning team having the choice of next game type and map. I also recommend that each map can only be played once for the entire matchup. 6 man rosters with alternates and possibly a neutral host. If anyone else has ideas feel free to add them to.

As I mentioned, it used to be a team from the West Coast would play a team from the East Coast. So just one team per region. But really, you can do it however you want. Elite rosters might be nice change too.

I know that's how we used to do it in the past. I was asking that question out of curiosity to see how many people wanted to time zones or rosters. I agree with you that by doing elite rosters it could be an interesting option. I'll figure everything out this week after seeing how many want to do time zones and how many want to do elite rosters, and maybe we can get this started by next weekend. And I want to see if our UK brothers and sisters have any interest in joining us too.
