| So i put a disk in my ps3 an it makes noise like its trying to load but doesn't then just sits there. The kid at wal mart when i was buying some compressed air to blowit out said it may be my blu ray drive or eye is out. Any ideas guys | |

| I had the same thing last year and it was the blue ray. Could have had it repaired for $100 but bought new system when it was on sale. | |

| Search the internet for places in your area. I live in Houston so there were quite a few options near me. If you can't find one close I am pretty sure there are some places that you can send it to, but that might be close to the price of buying new or possibly on ebay | |

| I found a place in Indianapolis that sells the whole new blu ray drive for 80 but i don't know how hard it's gonna be to change it myself. Any body done it before. | |

| Wow that really sucks ass. If you are handy at that type of stuff, you could fix it yourself. Otherwise take it to a console geek shop for repair. | |

| I'm definitely not good at this stuff but i got a buddy who is. I might take it to him. He'll probably just charge me a case of beer which I'm gonna drink half of so that won't be too bad. But in the mean time I'm having COD withdrawls!!!!! | |

| One of my PS3's did the same thing. I still haven't got it fixed yet. It's in my sons room. It still plays dowloaded games, but no discs. | |

| more than likly the eye, call around some pc repair places or such some will repair it we have one that buys old ps3 and xboxs for parts and will repair at a good price las tyear got a eye put in my kid ps3 for 30 bucks and done in about a hour ! | |
