BD, i have a family gold acct with all 4 accts being used, so my question is how do i take advantage of the lower gold deals? Do i wait and add them at renewal or punch in codes now for added time?

Be careful how much time you try to build up at once. I called Xbox to see how much time I could add. They checked my account for me and told me I was okay to add another year on. If I remember correctly, it was up to almost two years worth of time.

If you have the family plan now you essentially pay $99 for a year for (4) accounts.

If you buy these 12mo cards it will give you HALF the subscription time for a family account.

So you'd essentially be paying $64 / year for family (by purchasing two of these 12mos cards)

You can hold onto the codes and use them whenever they don't expire. When gamestop had them on sale for 29.99 (over a year ago) I used one and kept the other. I just recently used it (11 months later) right before I upgraded to the family plan.

edit: you can "bank" up to 36 months of subscription I believe at one time
