BO:2 Competitive Group

I'm in too Zero, I do need to up my play. I really need to work on my ability to regain control of areas. Holding isn't as much a problem, but getting leverage to take BACK control is not my strongsuit. So when things turn to chaos I struggle to get back on track.

And I do need to work strongly on fundamental mechanics. Aim and accuracy immediately, instead of walking the gun around to find the target. Knowing what I want to do, and making it happen on the screen are two separate things

And I'm sick of blaming lag for every crappy game that I have. Its becoming the "go-to" excuse for what many times is poor play and I don't want to do that anymore. When a good team get you back on your heels this game quits being fun. And I start to forget all the fundamental stuff and revert to reckless abandon to try and overpower the other team. Which typically fails miserably because the reason you are in the pickle you are is because they are a powerful team.

Any movement on this?

Tonight wasn't the shining example. Definitely need more strat work.

Zero took Ryno, Newfie, and myself last night and showed us a few things. I must say it was well worth it. I couldn't believe timing. How many times have you thought to your self, he was shooting me before I ever saw him or he is prefiring. Well, after last night I found out they are not prefiring. It is all timing and delay. Another thing that will take some work for me is hip firing. Hip firing tracks so much better and I was always ADS. I have a lot to learn and my k/d shows it.

@zero. You are making me want an xbox just so i can attend. Sounds like awesome stuff here....I would love to get this going on the PS3 side of the house. I will start another thread, so I don't hijack.

I need to learn more too! I can usually be on around 9am central to 1pm, so you guys have to show me some stuff when ya can.

Some good tips and strategies last night, thanks!

I gotta say, despite the good info, it was hard standing there not shooting you guys to pieces. It took every ounce of restraint not to blast you guys!

On a serious note, and considering my short term memory retention in the evenings , perhaps future sessions can have a mini match (3~5min? with bots?) after a main topic/strategy to let us try out and use the strategy.. a sort of hands-on part.
