Xbox Small-Team Tournaments | Sign-up & Brackets

Yeah that one i just left open... you can set invite only and lots and lots of preferences... give certain people admin controls... or even certain people the ability to send invites etc.

I'll have to fuck with it tonight... everyone ended up in there as like individual teams... not members of teams. I'm sure it does members... but if it doesnt we'll have to all have accounts (as normal) and choose a captain of each team to do the Challonge team stuff.

When you guys signed up for the test you can tell vs me putting in teams... give you a little icon thingy.

we may just have to determine the teams then each team have 1 representive sign up the team under a team name rather than indivual names.

Plus I know a lot of people only come to forums every so often so it would probably be good for people to spread this during game play. A lot of people would want to do this that only visit the forum to get their 1 post in per quarter or whatever it is.

Baller... i think you're right. I think it's designed to work on team captains (ive got an email in to the tech support so ill see what they say... but i bet that's it).

That might be better actually... we wont have to have everyone checking back on editing the results of matches etc. There will have to be team captains then. And teams will be different each tournament so captains will change... majority of people should still sign up for Challonge just incase they have to be host.

BTW looks like a ton of new guys lately we should push to get them in this would be a good way for them to get to know some guys in small groups rather than large parties where people like Nick take over the MIC. "not that theres anything wrong with that"

Go on there now guys and try x30xTest2... try to join the tournament as some made up team name... see if you don't have to use your use name.

I found everything but I don't see how to join tourney like I did the first 1. It says 3 participants right now

I'm In. My play time are pretty random as of late, so it may be best for me to just sign up as an alternate/sub for anybody who needs someone. Then again if the times are scheduled i will have a better chance of making it happen.
Ctf would be cool, also something like tdm but requiring everyone to have the same primary weapon could keep things interesting and challenging. If we're going more fun less serious theres always sticks and stones style games and optic tdm

@Jonasu25: yup, turns out we'll have to do team captains. Everyone who wants in will have a Challonge account and when teams are randomly formed via Team-Maker (to keep things fair and fresh) one person from each team will have to volunteer (or be picked on lol) to become the team captain and use their Challonge account and register for the event etc.

Ok wrapped up the test, super easy to do. Only thing i dont get is the voting in the beginning... i think that has to do with betting shit... but i know jack about that.

And i dont get how at the end Baller and Jonasu had to go back to back. I'm not a sports guy (well sports that involve brackets anyway haha)... anyone else understand that?

No worries man... sign up over at Challonge. What we'll do is set a duration for each tournament like say "this weekend" or "this week" etc... then it's up to each team captain to make sure their teams get together and complete all their necessary matches in the duration. Everyone should be able to do it... maybe not every tourney.. but i see this going on for a long while into Ghosts.

As far as gametypes and stuff... it will be a mix and everyone will vote, majority wins. Most will be restricted or no streaks and some will have certain weapon types... a few will be stupid ass hat shit. A mix... to keep everyone happy.

First one Id like to set up for this weekend starting friday ending sunday. I might have to start a new thread once everyone is all signed up over at Challonge. I'm going to go by the list over there. PM me when you have your username on that site.

I'm in, account name is CripticWolf. Personally I'd like it to be a weekly thing, as I work midnight shifts, different days every week, and every other weekend. This way people like me and Spartan with random schedules can still participate.

@Cryptic: Got ya in the 30 group on the site. Yeah man i'd like to make the tournament durations last a week for the most part... and also do some weekend ones like you mentioned. Everyone needs a shot to play.. and some may not like the gametype and restrictions of a certain one so they can skip while not having to wait forever for the next one.

@Estimated: Put you in the group too man, you're all set.
