| If not I am sure it is ok if we postpone this for a few says. I feel that we are all busy and it will take some time to get us all lined up. | |

| And therein lies the issue with trying to do anything like this - it's damn near impossible for us all to work out a time when more than 3 of us can play.
Exactly the reason that it's good to have such a large clan, you never end up playing with the same folks over & over (some cliques excluded lol)

| I have a suggestion here. Let's try to Fix the schedule, let's say Friday 9 pm EST, then all the team member will have from today until next Thursday 9 pm EST to agree on this time or to reschedule, if for some reason a team can't make this time slot they need to come up with some time slots on Friday or Saturday to get this match completed. I'm talking for myself I can work my schedule around if I know in advance what time the match is supposed to be played and I think most of us are the same..... any other ideas? | |

I like this idea. Either this idea, or stating a firm time for the tournament (i.e. Sat - 9pm EST til conclusion) and only the folks that can play during that time should enter. I KNOW that we want to include as many folks as possible, but damn...this thing hasn't even STARTED yet and it's been nearly a freaking week! #cmonman!

| Yeah it has to be a SET time x to x this day to this day... if you cant play don't sign up if something happens team has to find alternate or forefits etc. These should really only take a few hours if people can play on the weekends. | |

This. A best of 3 map, 3-man tourney with as few teams as we have should only take ~2 hrs from start to finish.

| ^^^^^I like this idea the most, Whoever wants to "host" the tournament open a custom game lobby at 8:45pmEST(just an example) and anybody that can commit the evening joins the lobby(18 people max). @ 9pm all names are put into the team generator and away we go, and we don't stop until we are done.
I presented this as an idea when this was first getting hatched, I think with 18 members and teams of three it shouldn't take over 3 hours. Just treat it as a night out with the boys/bowling league/softball league/poker night/gone fishing. Tell the wife you are busy tonite. I know it would be early for the west coast guys, so maybe we'd have to start an hour later and keep the east coast guys up late.
But at the rate we are going this tournament is going to take all summer.

| This IS the idea! haha where have you guys been?! Teams 4 and 5 have been scheduled to play for days now! haha c'mon team captains! Dates are now through this Sunday. I'll update the post at somepoint. Otherwise we'll have to do uber-small weekend tournaments that take an hour - two. | |

| Gun - the difference between the way it's currently set up and what Blue & I are talking about is the length of time the tournament is 'open'.
Blue & I are saying to set-up a tourney that is on the NIGHT OF xx/xx/xx at 8:00pm (or whatever). anyone who will be on that night is welcome to join the tournament, and the tourney WILL conclude that night. No need to do pre-tourney teams or set-up...whoever joins the lobby can be put into the team generator and off we go...right then & there.
I realize you're original notion was to have it be over a weekend...but we've seen what will happen if there's ANY margin on that. It needs to be on a single night...maybe a Friday(?) since we seem to always get a lot of 30s on for an organized FNG event...

| Right AK, that's what I'm talking about. No pre-tourney sign-up or team captains trying to herd chickens. You have to show up to get in the tourney, and you have to stay for the duration...or your team will play down a man(unless they can draft a sub quickly).
Its apparent to me that this is the only way something like this could happen. I don't want to reschedule my life around a video game, and having to bail on a "real life" event to make it to a scheduled game isn't something that family or friends going to understand. But if the kids are in bed, and the wife isn't too needy then show up at *pm and play for three hours in a tournament.

Don't get me wrong - I'm def appreciative of the effort you put in to make this thing work...it just sucks that all of that effort will (most likely) go to waste b/c we can never get ppl's schedules to align accordingly. I would STILL like to try to complete the current tourney, as it's already set-up....but we need teams 4 & 5 to freaking PLAY EACH OTHER!! #cmonman!

| I say at this point if both teams can have 2 members present the game should be played. What you think Gun? Your the host of this thing. | |

| Hahaha i don't think i'm the host anymore Baller lol! And i don't play during the week as i'm busy sooo...
I tried... it didn't work out, c'est la vie!. (not the first time a tournie failed here lol) Even with a week's time to get a few matches in, nobody did. Something less formal... less of a real tournament could work. I'll let someone else step up and run that lol

| A little late I supposed but ... We had both teams online at the same time last weekend except were missing one. Since it's probably statistically unlikely to have all 6 players on at the same time (or able to even agree on a time) I think that if one person is missing, it should be a standard rule where we simply pull in a sub real quick from among anyone online at the time and who wants to.
One of my teammates cannot be on during the week at all. It's Friday so we should be able to get this done this weekend.

| My Wife and I have been looking in to building a home, but we found an existing new home that we are looking to buy instead. We listed our house officially on Thursday so, needless to say, my Chore chart just got really legit....Playing time will be limited. I will look for everybody whenever i can get on. sorry guys. | |
