Just wondered if anyone could help.

I have four video files of around 4GB each that won't copy across from the XMB to an external hard drive. The error message 80030928 is displayed each time I try.

Anyone had this problem or know of any reason why it is occuring?

What is the external drive connected to, What kind of router, type of file, Type of external drive. After doing some research this seems to be either firewall related or router related.

Before I get into the technical side, I went to Vegas last year and its bloody brilliant. If you live there I take my hat off to you.

Anyway back on topic.

The files have been created using Play TV. I have record the shows from live TV, they are sports events that I want to keep a copy of. There is an option in Play TV to transfer files to the XMB. After this I can then usually copy the file over to my 2TB Western Digital External Hard Drive, that is connected via a USB cable, and then delete the copy that is being stored on my PS3. With these four files I am unable to copy the files across so I have to leave them on the PS3.

It's not a massive problem, but I would like to have them transferred over to free up the space on my PS3.

There are a couple of solutions you can try. I researched the error code and this thread from the ps site came up. Let me know how it goes.
