| I would go with the Asus strictly because they are so similar and the Asus is less expensive. But either one is a great choice | |

| I recently got the Asus VE247H 24-Inch. Same price as the VS247H (in May they had a $20 rebate), the "VE" has built-in speakers instead of the "IPS".
IPS should give a slightly better picture I believe. IPS monitors don't 'shift' the brightness/contrast when your viewing angle changes. But I like the built-in speakers because my standard headset doesn't contain game sound. The monitor is great and placebo effect or not, gameplay has improved.. I've also bypassed my Sony receiver and plugged HDMI from XBOX straight to Monitor.
Can't speak for BenQ, but it has 1ms vs. 2ms response time.. although 1ms delta should not be noticeable, every little bit helps. | |

| Ive never used the Asus, but I have the BenQ you are looking at and I love it. Saw a significant improvement in my play vs a 32" Sony Bravia LCD.
