I knew Sony had said they were going to have many more exclusives and new IPs this generation... but I didn't know how soon or the crazy scale.

30 currently in development... 20 in the first year... 12 of those brand new IPs!!! This is amazing news. I wonder what we're going to see at the upcoming shows before launch.(Shit, i was super impressed - still am - with M$s 15 exclusives and 8 new IPs year one. No dissing here... let's not go One vs. PS4 here.)

So what do you PS4 buyers/potential buyers think? Is this more of a reason for you to preorder or definitely purchase? What titles do you think they're going to show? What potential exclusives are you excited for on the PS4?

I for one am pumped for the next Uncharted, the Order 1886, Killzone, a PS4 GranTurismo, and The Last Guardian.

I just didn't find the PS4 exclusives to be much to get excited about. And the reason why is it all felt the same to me. They were very Japanese feeling to me. I like some JRPGs, but I did get very tired of the Bayonetta/DMC games that have been popping up all over the place for PS exclusives. To me, I see the One as like the /b/ro that is stupid and extremely violent. think the movie Dredd, and I see PS4 to be say Black swan, a real thinker movie. I just wish they put some more dumb violence in with the thinker and the IPs that they showed would appeal to me more.

TL:DR it felt very overseas to me, not enough home. I am hoping the rest of the new IPs wow me.

BTW not knocking anyones interests, just having a discussion about the new IPs. it is amazing that so much new game concepts are coming out and it can only be for the best of the whole industry that people start coming up with new ideas.

^^^ totally get ya man. And who knows... I think they've only shown maybe 8 of their exclusives so far. Sony has the majority of their PS4 exclusives and new IPs to reveal. There might be some cool shit in there for ya'.

But i do agree that PS4 tends to cater to a different type of game usually. Xbox is known for the FPS and football/baseball/basketball/ hockey games... and Sony is known for the platform/action/survival horror, soccer and BF as of late (BF3 has a large PS3 following - go figure).

Xbox:(typical games) Halo, CoD, Gears, Madden, Forza etc.
Playstation: (typical games) Resident Evil, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, GrandTurismo, BF etc.

This right here pretty much sums up why I've been such a bigger xbox fan, they tend to cater towards the type of games I enjoy the most. I love my sports games and FPS, and at least in my opinion they just seem better on xbox. To each his own though, I'm sure many of the PS exclusives will be very good.

Def man... Sony vs M$ is a completely personal thing. They each still cater a little more to a different type of gamer even though they share big AAA cross-platform titles. Both consoles have a different "feel"... and nobody can hate / judge anyone for picking whatever suits them best!

I have to say, a lot of the popular PS games are not cross console. Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Resident Evil etc is all cross platform. I just have not seen any first party devs other than Naughty Dog to really entice me to go PS again. I am really tempted to go grab another ps3 (mine YLODed on me again) to play the last of us and Uncharted 3 lol

is dust 415 on xbox also it's not a bad game
