Horror Convention

Hey guys:
Just a friendly heads-up about a horror convention I will be attending in September in Indianapolis. The few of you that know me a bit will know I'm very much into horror films and so on, and this convention is one of the best ones offered, especially here in the Midwest. If you happen to be going, or live near Indianapolis, and want to share a beer and some face time, feel free to let me know. I'm very new to the clan, and have yet to really even speak with anyone, so this might be a good chance to make a personal introduction in person. I don't even play zombies because its too scary, let alone want to attend a horror convention!    lol  have fun, not sure if there is anyone in the clan out that way...

I think the last "horror" movie I saw was Dr. Giggles. In college. lol

I get the appeal for some people, but it's just not my cup of tea. That said, I think it would be interesting to go to a horror convention! Take lots of pic and post for us.

I always take tons of pics when I go. Keep in mind, horror conventions are a lot of fun and my 8 year old daughter loves them. She went to her 1st one in the spring and ad a blast, even got a lot of free stuff from the vendors

There is a really good one in Lexington in November called Scarefest. It has a lot of the paranormal yahoos there, but the horror lineup is stellar.

Lexington Kentucky or Virginia? Virginia I'd be all over that shit! Seems to be a lot of ghost hunter twats around these old historic places.

Im with Wally, I cant watch scary movies cause I really get scared and on edge for about a week after. Not from chopping up teenagers in the woods but demon stuff or paranormal. The last one I watched was some people were suppose to die in a crash and they didn't so death chased them and they each died from some horrific accident in the following days. That was like 4 years ago and I still havnt got completely over it.

I don't do horror flicks. Especially the new ones. A Nightmare on Elm Street still freaks me out. The old school ones got in your head and messed with you. Like The Birds and The Shining

It is the gore that bothers me.

I won't even watch shows like CSI because I don't like to see internal organs on display.

I do like scary movies though. IMO, the best ones have few deaths and nearly no gore......see The Shining or The Omen as an example. I like the ones that are all about the suspense.

I can't even sit though movies like Saw. When they start with the torture and gore......I'm out.

Yea I hear ya Okra. Its not scary its just bloody.
