Gun 4 Hire actually turned me on to this a month or so back.

War Thunder is a WWII sim game was originally developed for PC and is now headed to PS4 on launch day as a free to play game. The developers have worked to maximize the PS4 experience and say that it will be like the PC game in video quality and play. They have even gone to the length of using the PS4  eye for head movement recognition for the player look around function during game play.
The link is to an interview with the developer on the game/PS4 and within it is a link to video of sound modeling using actual WWII era tanks.

Game hits Nov 15th in US and 29th in EU.
