Is the clan active on ps4 for ghosts? Para tried to add me yesterday and it wouldnt work. does this mean the ps3 clans and ps4 clan would be different?

Thats a good question.

Also is there a way to distinguish between people playing on the PS3 and those on the PS4 on your friends list that I have overlooked?

I know i've looked at other people to see what they were playing and it will say ps3 or ps4 under the game they are in

The clans are cross console and cross generation.  So everything I do in PS3 and PS4 count for the clan. Although I can only play with those on my same console (PS3 and PS3, PS4 and PS4. No PS3 and PS4 parties).
