The guy who leaked this is wanted by MS. They want to press charges.
Forza Horizon: "Fall 2014, probably September. Super sexy weather system and... shit tons of co-op/social stuff. 1080P and open-world, so you can road trip with your bros." White Xbone incoming. Why all the leaks? Scared you might get caught? "I am incapable of fear. Plus, this is such exciting stuff, and me talking about it ahead of time isn't going to hurt anything, truthfully. We're all chomping at the bit for it to come out. This is not bad. " Halo Anniversary 2 will be 1080p, iffy on the 60fps, maybe not. Quantum Break is Holiday 2014 Multiplayer confirmed for HA2, same devs as Halo Anniversary. Sunset Overdrive is Fall 2014 Is not Phil Spencer Black Tusk cancelled project was called "Shangheist." May have involved stealing stuff from the Chinese (though I think that may have been a reference to the name and maybe not the gameplay? Not sure...) Fable Legends is Summer 2015 Halo 2 Anniversary includes beta for Halo 5 Gears of War will probably need a 2.5 year dev time. First Titanfall DLC is 45 days from release, then another one 120 days from release. No Crackdown 3 news this year most likely, since it's a 2016 title. A list w/dates of the rest of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries that Xbone will release in this year. No info/idea on what Rare's up to, sadly. $399 XB1 this year? "Maybe one without an Optical Disc Drive."
Two versions of H2A.
Collectors Edition with the Beta access, the Halo series (not the Blomkamp one)
War Collection with the above, as well as ports of Halo 3 & 4 for XB1.
PLATINUM GAMES
Project Nagano
March 2016
Sunset Overdrive is set in some weird fucking future (like 2020)
Everyone drinks this fucking drink, Overcharge XT or whatever and you either turn into one of these giganto monsters or you die.
This big corp (Microsoft, lol) takes control of the city trying to wipe this shit out, because its their drink and they fucked up.
Supposedly there is managed content that will be developed for an entire year, as it is an open/breathable world.
Crackdown 3, unlikely announcement at E3 this year, as it is a 2016 release date.
Titanfall themed Xbone
There goes the E3 show lol

The white units out now were special edition for the Microsoft employees that worked on the project. They are listed for around 2g's on eBay right now. I'm assuming the employees know they are going to be readily available eventually so trying to cash in while they can.

A xbox one without an optical drive!? Tha fuck? Remove the fucking Kinect. How in the hell does an optical drive cost 100 bucks? If thats true OBVIOUSLY they're going to allow digital only content.

Somewhere I read that the no optical unit would have a bigger HD "1tb" since its a dlc box at that point. Probably where the 100.00 comes in plus the no optical.

that makes far too much sense for MS to have come up with the idea

It's Microsoft's way of combating the Steam Box's when they are released as most will also have no optical drives.
Interesting thought -if you installed your games (disc versions) onto your hdd then bought new non-optical drive version and copied all your content onto the new Xbone, would the Xbone still prompt for a disc?

Damn MS has so many leaks. E3 is probably ruined for them.

Good news all around I guess.
Disks are going the way of the 8 track. People should just prepare themselves.
MSFT screwed up dropping the family plan anyway. Disks feel so last gen. Crappiest part of the X1 is having to change disks still. Can you tell I am sick to death of this antiquated media storage device?
CHARGE ME MORE AND PUT IT ON A 3.0 USB STICK or just go digital. Something.
I'll be glad when the 5400 rpm HDD dies as well. Who needs crap spinning around making noise? Bring on the SSD's in big sizes as well.
If the Steam family sharing becomes real and the can find a way to provide controller only multiplayer then I'd seriously just go with a Steam box at this point.
Too bad Steam will half ass it as well, just like MSFt and Sony.
The gaming news I thought was nice though.
Glad to see Gears will be coming and that Halo will be given proper time to bake. I'm kinda sad about Fable not making 2014 but I'll live. Halo 2 is the only Halo I've never played and it is considered the best Halo by many as far as the multiplayer so I'll grab it I'm sure for my Halo fix.
I'm pretty pleased with the games coming the next year. Should be a good one for gaming.

Fanboi. Haha. I don't think E3 is ruined. That is a bit of an exageration. They will just have to come up with other stuff to announce if this was all that they had. I don't think they had solifidied what they wanted to announce at E3, four months before the show.

MS has been in a PR shitstorm from the start. A mysterious leaker appears and brings good news for Xboners. On top of that they want to silence him. It's like they are actively trying to be the bad guy here.

I am only 33, and I still feel like an old geezer. I actually LIKE having hard media. It feels more real, I can touch it.

Do you have Steam on a computer?
I never thought much about how much better it'd be without a disk at all until I started using steam a little.
The way your games display in big picture mode is really nice too.
So much better than putting in a disk every time you want to switch games.

I need the hard source, do you know how long it would take for people like me and BD to DL a 40 GB game??? about a week, and on day 2 my IP would be calling me asking me what the hell I'm doing.
That being said, I do not know why they are still using disks, why not memory cards or USB drives? They are cheap enough to mass produce, or you could take one of your own to your local Gamestop or whatever and get the game loaded onto the card.
Releasing a console that could do THAT would have been revolutionary to the console world, instead of continuing to use discs that are prone to damage from scratches.

The day they announce the non disc drive model is the day I buy a Xbone w/ a disc drive.
Gamestop would be blowing those out.

I agree. And yes, we're old. If hey go digital only, it NEEDS to be cheaper. $60 for a license of a game? No way.

Consumers: We would be happy to buy the console if you lower the price and drop Kinect.
MS: After listening to consumer feedback we've decided to lower the price and drop the disc drive.
(Maybe they don't want to keep paying those Sony royalties on the disc drive lol)
Seems a little early for a new design?

Whatever they announce you can probably assume it was in the works before the first X1 ever shipped.
Be interesting to see when a new version releases and what the features/final price is.
I also doubt a disk drive less sku is really being targeted at gamers.
This sounds more like something for the casuals/non gamers. All in one machine really doesn't need a blu ray drive imo. If you are using it as a replacement for roku/apple tv then the blu ray adds little value beyond the medium you use to install a game/app.
People who's tv is Netflix/Hulu based don't generally worry about data caps and slow internet or they wouldn't be dropping traditional cable.
I like the no blu ray but I think I want to be able to buy a hard copy just to load the game once from. Maybe they'll do USB sticks for us that cost more or something. I'd love to be able to put three USB games in my XBox usb ports and then be able to switch between them without ejecting anything. More like digital with a hard copy that way.
I bet the next one could be sleeker without that bulk drive in there too.

Well you know what would help ease your mind on a disk drive less Xbox 1? A terror bite hard drive. I could see this in the future, BUT Why in the hell is the Kinect still being pushed?

Just watch this commercial and think about what they are targeting with it. Now, do they really need a blu ray for those features? Do they still need the Kinect?
It is really simple why they have no plans to drop the Kinect. It is the key to their living room strategy.

I have to call shenanigans on that one! So, they are stating that they want to be the one box entertainment center, with only the cable or satellite box as a companion, and they're getting rid of the Blu-ray player? How does that make any sense? We may be 4-5 years from a digital download only society (at the least), but we're not there yet. Taking out the Blu-ray player means that owners will still need a media player and, in my opinion, make the Xbox One less appealing on a mass scale.
