Like many of you I use the Sony dual shock 3 controller that came with my PS3. I use it for all gaming types (FPS, Action, RPG) but was looking at the Mad Catz FPS Pro controller http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Catz-Wrls-Gamepad-PlayStation-3/dp/B0057OWIXG. So has anyone used this Mad Catz or what kind of controller do you use that is not a dual shock 3?

Thoughts/suggestions/comment please.

I have read that those are not that great. I think there was a thread on MW3F, but I am not sure.
I have had 2 MadKats controllers one with the turbo mode....It was awesome for TigerWoods but the sticks became sloppy within a couple months of gaming. It was fine for sports game but the fine tuning of FPS aiming was impossible.

Ya in with jsavvy, not only do I feel ther might be a better controller, but I don't know if I'm the only one but, a controller only last me a month tops before it gets worn out (L3) mostly and I've known quite the difference when I play with a used cont... Compared to a new one, so like Jsavvy said if u know off a better controller or have used the one mentioned above pls post.

I have the frag fx splitfish, which is a mouse and nunchuk. I haven't given it a big trial yet, but I can see it being useful to a former PC gamer. If anyone wants it, I wil sell it very cheaply.

I looked into this and I think the learning curve for me is way too high, I was never much of a PC gamer.

I use the viper fps extensions...helpss me turn my sensitivity way up to 9 or 10. I bought a black ops conmtroller when it came out...it was horrible! I would stick to the name brand with accessories added

What about this one? i love the xbox controller feel but i tend to play fps on ps3. best of both worlds?

i have a friend with the kontrol freeks and he says they help him with aiming, i dont have any personal experience with them, but this may help if you cannot find a totally new type of controller

I kind of stay away from any Mad Katz stuff as their quality is very low... my Mad Katz rock band cymbals break almost bi-monthly and I rig them with tape lol...

Also I used to use the mad katz bluetooth to talk to you guys and that broke as well

I too am not a fan of mad katz. Every bluetooth/controller/accessory I have every purchased was poorly made and was not durable to say the least. I like the OEM PS3 dualshock controllers. They hold up for quite some time. I am thinking of trying the control freeks for the controller to see if they really do help.

They look so tall...and unnatural to my hands. what i want is the resistance in the sticks that the ps3 controller lacks.

Get the kontrol freaks they will improve your aim. They now make some that's shorter than the fps freaks. You won't regret buying them
