some questions about prestiging....

This is my first call of duty game so i was wondering how this prestige stuff worked? i took a look at some youtube vids on it, i get how the tokens work, but i still have some questions that are unanswerd.

Can you play and still rank up wepons/get xp without prestiging?

does any extra xp you get after getting the bar on 80 full carry over?

when you unlock wepons after you prestige do you have to start over with ranking them up or do they unlock right where they were before?

You can rank up your weapons until they are maxed out regardless of what level you are. If you prestige, all of your weapons go back to level 1.

Any XP you earn after completing level 80 is essentially wasted if you don't prestige. If you are going to prestige, you may as well do it immediately upon hitting the end of level 80.

Even though weapons are unlocked with tokens, they are at level 1. This will happen each time you prestige. Same goes for perks if you unlock them...they are the regular version and the pro version must be unlocked.

Well that sucks! Guess ill be prestiging tonight then, no point in holding out. Thanks for yoir help Cerebus.
