Complacency is a bitch...or how I am giving Activision Hell

I am on my third week of attempting to get adequate contrition from Activision for how supremely shitty a product Elite has turned out to be. I few dozen phone calls in, I am learned a few things. Activision is not kept abreast of the activities of Beachhead studios. Beachhead studios makes Activision aware of new builds and updates to the Elite site one day in advance of release. My question posed in each phone is this "if after an entire years time (the duration of my elite subscription) it is still not functioning as advertised, what sort of things are going to be done to make amends to people who mistakenly purchased your product thinking it wasn't a piece of shit?"

I was called today from a blocked number by someone who claims to work for Beach head Studios, the explanations is as follows (I paraphrase because I don't fully understand tech speak). Beach Head studios was only given the codes needed to integrate the game with elite. They were not aware of the ease with which the the game in its entirety could be manipulated and corrupted by its end users. Activisions only makes cursory attempts to change code to hinder modding. Beach Head then turn around and make a patch for Activisions patch.


My ultimate goal is going to be to get an extension of Elite to make for the amount of time is has not delivered as promised.

Also working for a corperation and bening in retail for 17 years the pieace of advice i can give u is if u ever hit a dead end in a phone conversation always ask for a supervisor. You would be amazed how far you can make it up the ladder in one or two phone calls.

Lisa from Microsoft called me offering a full refund of my 4000 points. Even though they cannot keep me from playing elite. I declined her offer, as I am tickled pink with their products and services (MLB.TV!!!!!) She is scouring her call center to find me a better contact number for Activision. I feel like a snowball rolling down hill. Project spam Activision's Forums goes into full force in the morning.

Awesome dude. If you need help let me know. And Sith is right think you hit the dead end ask for a supervisor, but be prepared to have them hang up on you. Make sure that you get their name and extension at the beginning of the call so if they do something as stupid as hang up on you, you have a record of who you where talking to. Take it from me I used to work in many call centers and there are a bunch of good ones that work there but there will always be bad ones as well. I have seen it all.

Once you get to the supervisor you will actually be talking to someone who is alone in an office. If they can't help you, just remember they also will have a supervisor...

If you would be willing to share any numbers, there are a couple of calls i'd like to make. I've emailed them and in most cases i never received an answer, i did get a number of responses, usually not related to the question. I'm expecting a subscription extension because of everything that still isn't working.

We payed for a finished product and experience and instead got a beta that still doesn't work right.

This again is why I refused to pay for it. This was the interim step to pay to play online gaming. I firmly believe that activision was going to go the mmorpg way of doing things with this and elite was going to be their babystep into it.
