| Hi all,
Sorry I can't post this in the BF3 section for some reason. My question is it too late to start playing BF3? I'm fed up with MW3 and we have a while before BO2 but is there something coming out soon to fill the gap? has BF3 had its day? Is it any good? I played BF 2 on the PC for hour and hours and hours.

| I avidly played BF2 on PC. My first multiplayer fps for console was blops and then mw3 and lastly bf3. Blops is all about instant gratification - mw3 is a slight step down (being slower gameplay) and bf3 is even worse with slow game play.
I bought bf3 played half a dozen times and took it back. The game is just too slow and drawn out for me. You have to hide, duck, and dash otherwise you're sniped left and right. I play the campaign on PC for the better graphics and thats it now.

| IMHO it is never too late to play BF3.
Darkker played BF2 on PC and loved this version. Nixon played BFBC on console and loves this version as well. The environment is no as destructible, but still cool IMHO.
On some maps the gameplay is slower. On PC they can run 32 on 32 matches easier due to the hardware being way cooler. On console we are limited to 12v12. So big maps like Firestorm, Caspian, Kharg Island the play can be slower. Smaller maps like Metro, Seine Crossing and Davamand Peak are fast paced. Even in normal ticket count games you will have 20-30 kills on metro (eventually)
Most snipers are not a one hit kill, so if you are being shot at and dont know from where stop running own the middle of the street and run behind some stuff.
There is a 10 hour learning curve on this game. Recoil is more difficult to manage than COD. Supression takes some getting used to as well.
I love this game and have not taken it out of the machine in months. |

| ^^They do compensate for the 12v12 Console vs 32v32 PC by making a lot of the maps smaller |

Ugh. really? Firestorm is fun, but I only get 8-12 kills on that map most times. Finding people is a pain when you have 3 flags capped. |

| Yeah, I was looking at some pictures of the 64 player maps yesterday. Pretty cool actually. For instance the spawn across the river on Siene actually has 3 flags in the area on 64 player plus one on the bridge that leads to B. |

| I will agree, it's not to late. I have alittle over 4 hours of MP on BF3. Yes there is a huge learning curve, I still don't know what the F*** I am suppose to do. Still playing MW3, but figured I would put a week into BF3 before I bounce between BF3 and MW3. |

| Hell no. its better than ever after the last patch, and the new DLC are coming so it will just keep improving. |

| All weapons are unlocked by lvl 45. Bonus weapons are unlocked with play in co-op mode and completing certain tasks in game (kill a guy with a repair torch).
Col 100 (lvl 45 and another 55 levels after that) is the top level. I am Col 11 (lvl 45 = 11 lvl past that). There is no real advantage to getting top lvl in this game. |
