Nice shot man! Haven't played golf since Tiger Woods 08. Kind of thought about picking this up. Is it worth it?

I don't want to act like a golf snob but I really enjoy this series. I've played 07, 08, 10, and now 13

I'll tell you what the game is day and night different from the 08 days. EA has this idea to fuck with shit that's not broken in order to just make the game DIFFERENT from year to year.

It was a real learning curve from 2010 to 13. The swing mech is totally different. The amount you wind up and even the speed of which you swing effects the distance. The old rule of thumb for putting use to be every inch of elevation add 2ft of distance - that now has some sort of bell curve. IMO it's almost a 1:1 ratio now. The weather is all over the board and so are the green reads...there is a course in hawaii that runs extremely fast...to the point where you have to use about 1/2 power of a typical putt...but the preview doesn't really display it that way.

So in short 13 is as frustrating as playing real golf! I like the game....I've been a long time fan of the series....however what I'm NOT a fan of is EA and their shit ass changes and rape fees. You miss out on about half a dozen courses during your career unless you buy the season pass....which when its all said and done will set you back over 100 bucks!

I'm just not a real fan of EA right now. However I feel compelled to play a golf game LOL. I personally enjoy the challenge - dispite bitching about it excessively

I wish they made a PC version to really showcase the graphics but wah wah another EA fail. I'll be honest I'm addicted to it because its so difficult - I enjoy the challenge. If you get easily frustrated then i'd recommend not getting it. If you're a glutton for punishment like me - then pull the trigger and while you're at is join the over 30 country club
