I love Sunday!!!

Itinerary for the day -

Sleep in a couple hours later than a work day. Check

Snuggle w/ wife. Check

Coffee and Black Ops in boxers. Signing in now...

Fishing w/ Dad on the Boat (wearing more than just boxers).

Return home and cook delicious fresh trout for wife.

Black Ops w/ Clannies while wife is studying.

Repeat snuggle w/ wife.

I love it too but slightly different schedule here.

Wake late. Cup of coffee. Make the kids some breakfast. Let the dog out. Head to basement and watch football for 10 straight hours. Love me some Sunday.

Three kids here, but they are with their mom half the time. Terrified me at first, now it is the best of both worlds (for the most part). Footloose and fancy free one weekend, family man the next.

Fran, if the beatings don't work just lock them out of the house for a little bit.

My Sunday goes like this.

Go to MBC meeting.

Walk dogs

Watch F1

Gym

Shower

Sunday roast

Walk dogs

Tv

Blops

Sleep.



Job jobbed.

Coffee - Check
Dogs Feed and walked - Check
Move 2nd TV to living room - Check
NASCAR and NFL tuned in - Check...Go Smoke!!!!
Racing on the 72" NFL on the 32" ya I have my priorities right. And my wife is right next to me!! She loves both also

3 pm BBQ/pool party at friends

5pm rip the head off a rhino ................replace piston and wrist pin and put the head back on..

Nice skeds guys! Today was unusual for me but still fun.

Touch of Combat Training, then coffee, then buddy's wife made me some breakie (don't ask), then hockey pool draft, now more coffee. Still half a day to go!

It's one of those rainy day stay inside and hang out kinda days.

finalize fantasy football teams and pick em leagues - check
watch 8 hours of football most of it with the wife - half check (4 hours in now)
steak dinner, baked potatoes, broccoli - preparing soon
4 hours of black ops - see ya around 6 PM PST

There are family things in there but with a 4 and 2 year old way too much to post....

Coffee, rewire basement, reroute home theater cables, recut drop ceiling tiles, negotiate with 4 year old son to stop playing Lego Star Wars and let me play BLOPS for 3 games, rent power rake, mow lawn, curse Weed Eater blower, take shower.

Bride preparing red beans and rice for dinner and we'll sit down to continue watching the Blu-Ray set of Star Wars. Tonight is The Empire Strikes Back.

There are only maybe 4 or 5 sundays a year that i like. Those happen to be the ones im not working. Its only 5 hours of work and its such a pain in the ass but im paid double time so i just cant turn it down. I have 1 day off a week so my feeling is more of I Love Mondays!!!

My Sundays are jammed...no time for blops.

Up at 7 with a hangover. Coffee.

Make French Toast from cinammon raisin bread. Coffee.

Manage 2 fantasy football leagues and set rosters.

10:30am leave for away game.

12:00pm coach team to 6-0 record and lock up home field advantage for playoffs.

3:30 home, shower, lunch of leftover lasagna, and catch up on NFL and fantasy scores.

5:30 off to coaches meeting to watch game film and drink 27 beers.

9:00 home to put kids in bed and catch the second half of the late game.

11:00 Shawn Suisham kicks chip shot field goal to give my fantasy team a nail-biter victory.

11:30 pass out.

0630 woke up,Mandatory coffee and cigarette
0800 Made breakfast for wife and kids. Watched my wife and daughter nurse hangovers.
0800-1400 Watched the entire first season of The Walking dead
1400-1600 Watched various games
1600-2200 Played Zombies with my kids. Logged into Multiplayer, but was unable to get into a squad. Played a few games with randoms. Went back to Zombies.

Good, lazy, fullfilling day. sounds like you all had a good sunday also.

Both saturday and sundays typically are similar...
*Wake up take kids to some sort of practice (Football, Tennis, Dance, whatever)
*Stop at Sbux
*Play BLOPS with the usual weekend morning crew (DD, Fireman, Jerry, etc.) and laugh about the fact that this is our prime playing time
*Honey-Do list (this weekend, new dining room and redoing entire playroom/clean out attic)
*Watch football with Son who is crazed fan...7 yrs old and screams at TV
*Pickup daughter from dance
*Watch more football and marvel about how bad my fantasy team is
*Get more BLOPS in while wife running errands
*Get yelled at for playing "that dumb game" and exit BLOPs for night to watch TV and hang out with wife

This reminds me of how I spent my weekends my senior year in college:

Saturday:
- Hung over.
- Move from bed to couch at 10 a.m.
- Drink several glasses of water for breakfast along with an aspirin
- Move back to bed at 11 a.m.
- Finally feel like a human being again at 2 p.m.
- See what college football games are on
- Shower, hit the bars/parties after pregaming for 3 hours and waffling with roommates about if we want to go out or not

Sunday:
- Get stuff done day, aka do school work in the morning/afternoon
- NFL game's on in the background during that last part
- Go to fraternity chapter meeting at 6 p.m.
- Grab dinner with a few brothers after chapter

Now it's:

Sunday:
- Long run in the morning (at least the marathon is 5 weeks away now)
- Shower, get something to eat
- Church
- Read for work
- NFL games are on, don't care if it isn't the Redskins...
- Get stuff done around the house
- Pick up gf from work and make dinner

I was laughing the other day about some of my friend's Facebook statuses. One being, "Pretty exciting day, got the dogs groomed, got the swimming pool cleaned out, made a trip to Lowe's to pick out some new fixtures."

16 year old me would think, "Yeah that sounds like a pretty exciting day," sarcastically.
31 year old me thinks, "That doesn't sound that bad..."
