Button Remapping

I came across this on twitter/youtube and thought I would share. I watched this video and have always wished I had the ability to remap buttons. I love that I can change from default layouts, but a total remapping would allow me to keep it simple and set nearly every game layout the same. I never even thought about how beneficial it would be for gamers with disabilities so I did not hesitate to go sign his petition.

I've never given custom button remapping much thought until I saw this video. Now I feel guilty for asking Treyarch to put lag fix at the top of their list. A real eye opener, thanks for the post Nuke.

indy, that gave me a great laugh. I always thought it would be cool buty I had not thought a whole lot about it really until I 1) bought an xbox, 2) started playing a wider variety of games and 3) bought a Razer Sabertooth. Full button remapping would be awesome for everyone and games would be so easy to transition between. How many times do you pick up a new game (or old) and spend a while getting used to which button & trigger does what? When I would switch from CoD to GTA4 I can't tell you how many time I went to sprint and my dude would crouch instead

"Nuke", thanks for finding and posting this. I haven't told anyone in the clan yet except for "gun fer hire" maybe that I am a handicapped gamer and can't use the standard xbox contoller very effectively. I had polio in my right hand and arm when I was 3 years old. Inorder to play, I had Evil Controllers make me a custom controller that works for me at a cost of $290. I really hope they provide the button remapping option with the next gen console, maybe the petition will help convince them to do it.

Red, thanks for sharing that. I can't imagine the difficulty you and others with disabilities, have with the controllers. I watched some of the videos of those guys playing and it blew my mind. For me these features are nice to have, to others it is vital. The developers have the capability hopefully the petition makes them more aware.

Thanks for sharing Red, I think it really helps spread the word when people realize that someone they know is personally affected by something like button remapping. Hopefully others will help by signing the petition too.

I'm definitely signing the petition. Everyone should feel comfortable gaming!!!!
