Mid Range SMG

I'm seeing the MSMC used effectively by some of the advanced players, but I never really 'hit it off' with the MSMC when progressing through the weapons and I never really went back to it.

So... quick SMG preference poll for a mid-range map/game:

-MSMC
-Peacekeeper
-PDW

Any 'must-have' attachments for the choice above...?

My main piece is the SWAT-556 with select fire for auto (and target finder ). It' been effective in getting my KD back to positive, but now I'm rethinking the setup.. or at least want to explore other mid-range, run/gun classes.

Although the SWAT's my 'steady' girl, my eye keeps drifting to the M-27 or Type25 from time to time.

I'm with you, never realy got into the MSMC. I see them in the kill cam all the time.

I use the MSMC or PDW. If I dont have one of these I have the DSR 50 with overkill and an MSMC lol.

i dont really use smg's anymore, unless i pick one up off the ground when i run out of ammo. mid range i just stay with the ar's or lmg's.

I used to use nothing but the pdw until they nerfed it. now it bounces around way too much for my taste. in my opinion the peacekeeper is awesome. I use long barrel and fast mag. im almost exclusive with the peacekeeper but depending on the map have been using the mp7 lately and its a pretty good smg as well.

MSMC all the way, silenced or long barrel.

Peasekeeper has better range but I can't stand the sound of it, just used it long enough to get gold.

Kicker is I still don't have my MSMC gold yet.

I agree with Mikey, that the MP7 is a good choice. I probably use the MSMC the most and I still like the PDW. If you want one that's good mid to mid-long range, but good up close, then the Vector K10 is really accurate and can get you a little longer range kills. If you're on a map that you have to be in the open with some range to cap a flag (like Drone's B-Flag), then the Vector is great.

The Type 25 is awesome now with 97% movement speed and increased damage.

Short range: Riot Shield
Medium range: Tomahawk or C4

But i voted Peacekeeper as it rocks at the far medium to long range for a SMG.

The MSMC with quick grip and laser is my go to SMG regardless of map.

I voted for Peacekeeper, it would be the superior weapon in mid range engagements. Its not great for CQ since the firing rate is too slow, but you can't beat it at midrange(for an SMG). And you'll get SMG mobility ADS without having to burn a slot with "Adjustable Stock" like you would with an AR. But you'll still have the ability to reach down an alley and I think you get a little more wallbanging potential with a Peacekeeper than an MSMC or PDW.

The peacekeeper is great for headglitching or strafing(peeking) out around a corner to hold down and alley or chokepoint. But you need to keep your distance from the SMG's who can rush and overpower you at close range.

I also like the iron sights on the gun, so I don't need to burn a slot for a reflex or any other optics.

All the points about the Peacekeeper are valid bluehound.. the biggest issue for me with the Peacekeeper is the low rate of fire I feel when using this gun.

Most stats tables (http://symthic.com/cod-bo2-weapon-charts#00001000ncnn1) list MSMC, Peacekeeper and PDW with the same fire rate of 750 RPM, but the Peacekeeper 'feels' like it's the slowest.. and rapid fire (in my experience) turns any good gun into a spray and pray situation.

Revisited the MSMC last night and had some decent luck with it..

For the mid range smg i go with the peace keeper with fast mags and quick draw

But my go to smg are the mp7 and vecter. Higher rate of fire and can move quicker with them

I generally run the MSMC with fast mags, and either long barrel, laser, or quickdraw grip.

Peacekeeper in my mind is the best gun in the game. I have 10,000 kills and over 1000 head shots with the lady. I've run with every attachment possible in every combination. Silenced quick mags is my go-to. It's a fast accurate Lmg to me. The AN, Scar,Pdw, and Msmc are great guns but every once in while ill have problems with them or they don't perform consistently. The peacekeeper is always the same for me.
