New headsets do xbox1

I heard that any turtle beaches made prior to the new Xbox dropping will not be compatible. Anyone know if this shit is true?

I havent heard anything like this, but i am assuming that they may just need a new cord to plug into the controller. Your old one should be fine once that is the case. We really need to wait until E3 to find out what is going to be good and bad for all the systems at this point.

if yours has a usb plug I would say they will work !

Better work or there is going to be some pissed off people.

There is no reason for a wired headset not to work unless 1) they got rid of the jack on the controller for whatever reason or 2) the headset is wireless (bluetooth only) assuming the new console got rid of bluetooth

I believe M$ confirmed that no current gen headsets will work with the Xbox One.

Evidently the port on the bottom is "new and unique to the Xbox One" and will allow for all digital voice where as before it was analog i believe.

And the Xbox One does not have Bluetooth according to a few articles.... the controllers will communicate via Wi-Fi direct... whatever the hell that is haha.


So in short... (from all the info i've read so far) it looks like nothing we own right now will work with the Xbox One. And it also looks like they won't even ship with a standard cheap headset like the 360.

EDIT: I forgot that the main reason for this new, all digital voice thing was because it's powered by the Skype integration.

what good does digital voice do ya on a 1 bar connection cmon ms pull your head out

New system & new headset. I am sure a Scuff controller or Razer will not be compatible and I wouldn't be surprised if the Kontrol Freeks don't fit on the new controller either. If you have thee things and want to have the same set up as what you have now I would say you are looking at $700 before you buy the 1st game. I won't be surprised if Sony does the exact same thing.

I was all set to upgrade to a Scuf and some new Turtle's until I found out about this. My just sack off the XBone and stick with old trusty 360. Who wants to have Kinect, certainly not HC gamers. M$oft forgetting about gamers and going for entertainment market. The mugs...backlash on its way
