I like the idea of everyone using the same base footage. I don't know, unless there were 10 minutes+ of clips that can be used rather than just enough for the 3 minute time limit than I think that it would show off more of your technical know-how rather than creative ability. By the way whizzups, I thought you did an excellent job at making your footage follow the beat and that was something that I really liked and stood out about yours. I'm looking forward to seeing more of all of the participant's work, even if Slam steals it all. | |

| I use Sony Vegas Pro as well, like Slam said it's mind boggling what it can do, I wouldn't be able to do anything with it if not for youtube. A friend of mine just got me a copy of After Effects, combining the two should yield some good results. | |

| Let me know how it goes with After Effects. I tried out the demo and I just didn't want to put in the time to learn a new software. The graphics capabilities & motion tracking look pretty amazing | |

Everyone using the same one or two theatre games for a montage competition is a good idea. Considering new and good clips can be hard to come by, it gives everyone the same starting point with the same base games. Maybe, all montage competitors could party up one night and select a couple good games the next day to montage. I had to use Blackhawxx double shotty kills, it was a must with the drum beats in the air tonight. That and Slam's fast paced shotty kills on Nuketown made the center piece of the drum beats. And how could I not use Indy's did-dip-potato-chip clip, that was a must! I used exactly what Indy used, Audacity for trimming the best parts of the tune to 2 min, Theater to upload 2 min clips to YouTube, then WMM to trim the clips to lyrics. For me, a good tune with gameplay playing out to the lyrics is what it's all about. I'm already starting to think about the next one! Awesome job everyone, turned out great! | |
