NorCal FNG

What's going on everyone, my name is Rob. I'm 31, engaged with two dogs (that I treat like kids), and living in the east bay. I've been playing COD since the first modern warfare, and although I'm not a huge gamer, it's COD is definitely my guilty pleasure. Most of my friends that play have 360s, so it will be nice to have a group of guys I can party up with on PSN.

I'm usually on between 5pm-8pm (pacific) or after 10pm on weekdays, and all over the place on weekends. My fiancé has a nasty commute, so I typically play based on when she isn't home or asleep. I typically play domination more than anything else, but I'm definitely getting into cranked and blitz more and more.

I'm going to start checking out some of the stickies. Hope to see some of you online soon!

@kamea - ps3 for now. I'll probably purchase a ps4 down the road, but I want to wait and see which system looks to be the better buy. I don't like the ones privacy/kinect issues. Couple that with the higher price and lack of raw power, and I think I'll end up wth a ps4.

Okay, either the clan has changed, we're now giving new guys a pass, or I just have issues (I know that I have issues, but I don't know if that's the cause)!

First, Dude has an avatar of a guy who can barely hold up 135lbs with his twig, which is bad enough, but nobody questions whether Dude is the spotter or just an observer.

Second, Dude stated "I'm 31, engaged with two dogs (that I treat like kids)"; does that make him into bestiality, a pedo, a future polygamist, or some strange combination? The good news for him is that he's living in California and I think that they allow all of that; in fact he might be in a protected group here.

Anyway, that's my welcome to the clan, Dude. I think that I'm sticking with the PS4 for now, as I enjoy Ghosts far more on it, but I will see you when you get one.

A) 135? please. Those are 15s... i'm only at 75 pounds... for now. i'm hoping with a steady regiment of crossfit and illegal suplements, i can max out at around 105. just enough to hold up a small women or a large midget. gotta have goals.

B) There is a term for the "strange combination" you are suggesting. Southern Californian. Please dont confuse NorCal with SoCal. Two entirely different breeds. However, feel free to direct any jokes regarding pot smoking, homosexuality, Oscar Grant (too soon?), saying "hella," and the pac-12's ability to absolutely shit the bed every season to me. Everything else can go to a SoCal member. Except meth. direct that shit to fresno.

Unrelated, two quick questions:

1) Do I have to do something after I hit my ten post probation or let somebody know?

2) What is the in-party etiquette if you have to get up or do something in the middle of the game? Back out of the party entirely? or just go "AFK" for a minute or two? Just wondering...

We all have to do it from time to time, so just try to let someone know; that's why you join an over 30 clan (that and the friendly conversation.)

Depends. If you are leaving leaving, then its nice to let us know you are logging off, then you go. If you just need to go potty, go find a corner somewhere and go and come back. I used to leave a lot when my kids were younger and I had to go tend to them when they would wake up, but not so much anymore.
