Achievement Eyes in the sky (UCAV)

Get 1 Air Superiority Ribbon and 3 Jet Fighter Ribbons

I have been in a plane for 6 hours and I really suck! Any tips welcome

Air superiority is almost unplayable because of the active radar missiles which you can just fire without a lock and they will go after the first jet they see. The best thing to do is just play regular conquest and use the attack jet instead of the stealth. The attack jets cannons are much better. When you do get behind someone, switch to 3rd person view instead of 1st. It's easier to stay with the other jet when they begin to shake you. Just follow the bullet tracers to get them to hit the targets. I improved big time with the jets once I started to learn how to engage people in 3rd person view. And to be honest the UCAV is no good so you aren't missing much.

To be honest I still don't know what the thing does. Think it's suppose to be like a TV guided mortar but quite honestly you will be better off using the remote mortar instead. I'll have to give it another try to see if I can get better with it but right now my first impression is that it is crap. You also only get one and have to wait awhile before it recharges.

It's used to shot heli's out of the sky (or arcing into tanks or air bust on troops ) it takes 90secs to recharge from ammo pack (from I have read) and it only last 10 secs.

I have to say regarding the mortar I love how they have done the display and the remote lol when I have used it I come out and low and behold there is nearly always someone near it hunting me hehe and I am miles away.

You are better off unlocking the SUAV for the recon class. It can be use to spot & lock on vehicle plus you can roadkill people with it. You unlock it be getting 1 kill on a bombing run. Unfortunately they patched it where it now explodes after 1 roadkill. Before you could just fly it around killing people non stop until the battery died out.

The problem I am running to with that is with 64 player servers there are always a line trying to get into the bomber

so is it even worth trying to get the ucav? i've been trying to get it just to unlock all the achievements. and as for the bomber when i get in it havent figured out yet how to drop the jdam.

I have it but not really used it most players ignore the lock (well thats what I have found) and it is a shame when you ram someone's face that you lose it but you can resupply from a ammo crate (awesome for that sniper miles away on the edge of a map:)).

Exactly. I like to get as far off to the corner of the map as I can. Try a couple of 800m shots then pop a hand flare and dance around it then fling my little plane as far as possible. I find my squad mates really appreciate my dedication to PTFO

Well I have managed to unlock it now (no more plane fly, YES!!) not had a chance to use it yet as only had time for 2 games. I had said to Dark that I would have this done before my birthday..... I was one day out
