A nice run last night...

So I played extensively last night and was able to get my W/L in the positive. This has been steady on the rise...mostly because I've been sticking to games with clannies. Awhile back I was -20 in the W/L...I started last night at -9...but after joining a group that wone 19 straight K/C games...then hitting up another that was winning at least 2 out of every 3 I'm now sitting at a 51% winning percentage.

I had a lot of fun. One of the highlights was waiting for a game...a clan comes in with four guys that are all prestige 4-6...we beat them and get back to the lobby where they call us a bunch of fags...tell us we should play them in demolition...then leave immediately...

My KDR is also on the rise lately gone from just a hair over 1 to 1.15. I feel I'm just getting a good sense for map flow...where guys may come from and when they might be coming. One thing I've been doing a lot of is ADS around corners to clear them...I catch a lot of guys running. I've also been a little more patient...not sprinting my way to where the action is and also not getting too excited to grab my one tag...but I will still die for 3 or more. I put up a nice 20-3 game on outpost that started real slow and exploded near the end of the game...

Thanks to everybody I played with last night...it was fun...look forward to doing it again once I'm done with all these damn tests this week...

It's always more fun when we win. I was in on a few of those games. I had to leave after we won the 7th in a row. I could use a few more nights like that. Thanks to the1 and BigDee. They pretty much carried the team. Although, one game I am happy to say I had the top score.lol.

I know what you mean about aiming round corners. It is my worst habit when things start going bad, I just start running straight back to the action. Patience is a great virtue in this game.

I got to get in on a bunch of those wins... My W/L ratio is very good in this game somewhere near 1.20 (obviously because I exclusively play with the clan instead of running alone)

Helps when you have the boss on your team getting 20-30 kills too

30's rule in KC...no doubt. Discipline, pack hunting and getting the damned tags even if it means dying to grab 4.

I'm damn near 2:1 wins to losses in KC playing with the clan.

Hunting in a pack is so much fun to absolutely overwhelm the corner campers. Even if they get a kill, you get 2 tags to their 1 and that wins matches all day long.

I need to be more disciplined in pack hunting. Every KC game I tell myself to find one person and cover his 6. Then he dies and I am running solo and I just keep running solo trying to get kills and end up giving up my tags to the team becuase I don't have a partner. I need to get better at linking back up with the team if I find myself solo all of a sudden.

well the KC strategy has evolved into camping tags temporarily like it's bait and turning 1 tag into 2-3

Look me up on the clan list next time you all are on, I'd love to join in for some matches. I unfortunately have often been running with randoms and people who don't play the objective (immature kids). I don't have the greatest K/D in KC but I do routinely get the most confirms/denies on my team and usually finish top 3. Of course, running with you guys and I may drop a bit if we're all as oriented to playing the game properly (getting tags).

Your best bet is to start sending out friend requests, there are about 20 of us that are on every night for 2 + hours at least.

Yeah...add a few people from the PS usergroup and get a few more added as you get in games.

I think it's good to have "runners" on every team in KC games...when I'm not having an easy time getting kills/streaks I switch to an extreme conditioning class and make it my goal to collect as many tags as possible. I know it helps some of our better shooters out there if they can just work their kills, especially as they get close to a high streak reward, and I will get their tags for them...

Oh...and on the good things from last night topic...I got my first 30 kill game last night...30-11 dom game on bootleg...I pretty much owned the area between A and B...

in stark contrast to Sunday's great games with Hoffy's group... last night was a disaster for me with a different group... oh the joys of MW3

Must have been something in the air because I too had an awesome night last night. Got my W/L back up to 1.00 from a .96 I think it was.

Last night was shit for me... Every game I played was garbage... Oh well, try again later this evening.

Last night was one of the best I had in a while. Rocking the M4. Lots of caps defends and kills. Had one really bad game where I went 16-33 on Lockdown. I curse B Dom on that map. Honestly I think if you lose B there forget it exists unless you see 5 people trying to cap A and you know no one is looking.

Im never one to complain about teammates but I am finding that my performance has been very dependent on who I am playing with... Not that it was anyone's fault individually but it is getting frustrating switching teammates so often.. I know, now I sound like Rif haha

Colby...I think some of it may just be due to sometimes the group gets a little too spread out and connection becomes an issue...or a run of bad luck in the matchmaking...

ya the matchmaking thing is starting to become... well interesting...

Not sure how it is that we get into so many lobbies of "pros"... not that I want easy games but sometimes it's a boost to your confidence to have some dominant games vs lesser players, gets you in that killer instinct mood to go after the best of the best

Last night's connection was awful for me and most every clan member that I was with (exception of 1 game on Mission where mjc had 45 kills, way to go bro).

I also feel your pain about switching teammates often, it is no ones fault it is just that some guys I am not sure how to play with cause I don't know where they will be or what they will be doing. Yes this sounds like Rif too but I have played hundreds of games (and hundreds of hours) with the same guys over the past 12 months and you can't expect the same feel for the game with guys you do not play games with a lot. We all learn as we go as we did 12 months ago when we all started joining this clan.

Just a thought here..........going 8-30 is not a bad thing and I don't look down on those who do but remember that with each death you feed the enemies kill/support streaks. There were many games last night when I went 12-14 and what not so I am to blame sometimes for running into the same trap over and over again. Sometimes slowing down and not running in the same direction can change the course of a game (except with last nights connection nightmare!).

Yeah...I've also noticed that some nights the connections are just bad...no matter the game or group...

Savvy I feel the same way that is why I usually aim to not die also but I also do not get 30-40 kills. A good game for me is holding/defending a flag and getting at least 1 cycle of my assault kill streak if not two (two is what I usually aim for). The problem I am seeing in some lobbies is now that you are rewarded for 18+ points (kills/caps) using support by getting a Escort Air Drop or Jugg., enemies seem to run aimlessy around the map just to get kills. Last night we ran into a few squads running nothing but support and most games the enemies were like 32-35, 25-25 etc. It seems as if most of these guys just want to get a jugg and have NO concern about winning. Well not everyone can be winners like the x30x!!!

In blops there were very defined roles as Savvy mentioned. The lack of pregame strategy is the cause of our problems. I used to always ask what KS people were running, If they were going to camp B, Home spawn, etc.

I personally think everyone should run UAV and then whatever else you want. Need a dedicated home flag overwatch to defend and call out any infiltrators. Need B campers covering access routes to B. These things we had in blops and had great success. It's going to take time, but I'm sure we can achieve that again.

In regards to feeding enemy KS, I totally agree. I'm certainly not the best in the clan but I'll be damned if I'm going to go 8-25 and give them pavelows and reapers all match long. If Dom matches are going bad, just camp the home spawn. Pop UAVs CUAVs. No need to run around aimlessly and give them overpowering air support.

Good point FBD...I think that's another reason why some groups work better than others...I think sometimes we just randomly match-up with our people that play various roles/styles that mesh well. Other times it takes a little work/communication...and it's well documented that is a bit of an issue in this game. I start out each match with a style in mind...but I will change frequently based on game flow...

Killstreaks are deady in MW3 not just because of how powerful, but because all the air support disrupts footsteps etc that are nearing you
