New Controller = Crazy Mistake Knifing

For Christmas I received a new PS3 controller (which I asked for of course) because my old one was showing its age on the sticks being worn. With the new one though, I find myself constantly knifing in the middle of gun battles while I am trying to strafe left and right and aim up and down. Is this common with new controllers and will "wear in", anyone else have this problem with new controllers?

The last new one I got, it was actually the opposite for me. I had to really jam the button to knife. Now that it's wearing out, I panic knife a lot more.

Nothing like knifing an enemy that is no where in reach. I don't do it as often as I did; either the controller is acting better, or my touch has gotten lighter.

it has happens basically in every gun battle I get into now, mostly at distance

Switch to tactical layout until you get use to the new controller. You might crouch lower in a gun fight, but at least you'll keep on shooting your weapon instead of giving your enemy something to laugh at. I had the same problem with my new controller until I got comfortable with it.

I tried that last night then everytime I tried to lay down to reload I knifed instead Mad
