Solved my game freezing problem

So last Wednesday I stayed up late and played with the WC crew...long session of gaming...no problems. The next night I logged on to play and had the game freeze up on me once as I was joining a game...logged on again on Friday and had it froze up a whole bunch, couldn't even get the party screen to load. It seemed really odd to me that all of a sudden I was having problems with a game that hadn't left my PS3 in over a week and worked fine the whole time. No big deal, probably an IW thing, I will be away for the weekend and come back to it being fixed...wrong...froze up first game that I tried to join last night. Restart it, and as it's loading multiplayer screen it gives me a "disc read error" message...first time I've seen it...

I pull the disc out and flip it over and there are 3 little tiny greasy fingeprints scattered on it's belly...dang kids had been pulling MW3 out and playing blops combat training and goobered the disc up a bit. I've never really had a problem with other discs playing with a bit of crap on them...but this one does...only intermittently of course...

Long story short, if your game is freezing up a lot check your disc...a dirty disc will freeze up without an error message...

This is why I've decided that when my children are old enough to play video games, they will have their own copies of said games, as well as their own console. If they mess it up, it's their problem.

Sure it was the kids goobering up the game. I don't want to think of what bodily fluid you might be putting on your discs. Eww... lol
