New map nights??

Saw this over on the XBox side of the 30s from SgtTubeSocks/SRV Ryan... (couldn't quote b/c in the PS3 forums)


"Yes the competition is a bit stiffer and a little more frustrating at times but I think we need to have at least a few nights per week where we play the elite maps only. Thoughts?"

What do you guys think about this? Maybe not the whole night but maybe for an hour. I guess it will be a moot point once they go into standard rotation but that will be a while on the PS3 side. Everytime I ask, everyone just seems indifferent about them. I know not everybody has them but the lobby will tell us in hideous red letters on the left side. Just looking for some feedback. New maps might keep the game interesting and provide us with some of challenge since we routinely beat down anyone that comes in our path.

As an xbox'er whose played these maps, I'd say this is a good idea. A group of us played the elite playlist last night for 2-3hrs, then switched back to Standard Domination (damn them for taking away our elite 'pure Dom', only left us TDM/KC/Dom) and we were immediately back to "ok, where are we holding down" not "ok, where the hell am I? Or you? Huh, where?" You don't realize how intuitively you know the maps until you drop into a new one...

Just my 2 cents worth...

I try to play the new maps once in awhile just to keep the general layout fresh, but have to do so as a randumb. I'm still getting slaughtered on Liberation and that's the map I thought I'd like the best. Dammit!

I'd like to spend more time on the new maps...I've only played them a handful of times, and generally don't like TDM, but I'll give it a go whenever I'm on.

I agree we all should spend sometime on the new maps i just downloaded the newest map yesterday but havent played it yet since they took off dom and made it tdm/kc/dom which i think is lame in my opinion

Will be more excited to do this when there is at least a 3rd map in the mix. But would still be down.
