Hats

I know this topic is buried who knows where, i think its on the old site. I found out yesterday, and its trivial and all, but how the hell did I of all people miss this!? The Royals retired their Powder Blue hat last November! I seriously read hat blogs and uniform blogs, its a weird thing i know, but i dig knowing about teams uniforms and mistakes and the history of a teams uniform.

Most of you know i have a pretty extensive hat collection, over 125 new era 5950s over 50 Franchise hats, numerous Nike onfield College Baseball and Football hats as well. I like my collection and I take great care and pride in it as well. With the above comments I will be buying yet another powder blue Royals hat today, I bought the other one the day it was released, yes I sometimes even know when a team hat is being released, I got the new Miami Marlins hat the day it was released.

I do wear a lot of them, and a lot are on display. At my hotel last year in Lincoln I had the American Association of Baseball teams stay at my hotel when they came to play the local team. I got a hat from all of the teams except for one. I got the hats from the BIG 10 teams that were coming through as well, and now at my current hotel we have the AAA teams stay with us. So far I have locked down an Albequerue Isotopes hat and have a Round Rock Express hat being shipped to me. I buy the clubbies lunch, or just ask, a lot of times they just give them to me when they hear about my collection.

That is my hat rant.

Oh, AND PLEASE TAKE THE FUCKING STICKER OFF OF YOUR NEW ERA HAT. Thank you.

FBD send it!!! I bend the brim man! I was supposed to get one a guy i know pitched for them a couple of years ago, he hooked me up with some Paw Sox gear anyway though. Those Iron Pigs hats are nice, if i am correct, Plan B marketing did that logo...I wear a 7 1/4 in 5950 and a Large in the Franchise! hahaha

I will post some pics soon so you all can see...I will even seperate them from MLB college and what not

I also hate the flat brims. And people who leave this stickers and tags on. It looks retarded, take that shit off. I have about ten Yankees hats. But that is where my collection ends. No where near the collection Flint is at. But when one of u can touch my 10,000+ comic collection give me a ring.

There is 70 sitting there, it actually made me organize my hats! I will post more later this week! Those are my On Field and Team 5950's. as you can see, a lot of Royals in there, in the very far back to the right is a Kansas City Kings hat, Only NBA 5950 I have..

As far as the Flat Brims go, I bend them, or at least try to, the new hats are harder to bend as the brim is more of a cardboard and not plastic like in the "old days". I have these things that i use to bend the bill, or i put them in a cup or wrap a baseball with rubber bands around to get them to stay, after spraying them with water to loosen them up..

I'm more of a "form follows function" kind of guy. My hat is either my plain black fitted baseball cap, or my cowboy hat. The baseball cap is for working outside, the cowboy hat is for rain.
By the way, no, I do not enjoy country music, nor do I have a big belt buckle. Fuck off.

College, Franchise and those minor league teams i talked about earlier, i found another one of those minor league hats after i put them away! I have more in a big ass rubbermaid container in my garage, and i have a ton more Nike ones laying around..

And yes, that is Taxi in the second pic, he kept trying to get the hats and run..little shit.

I see at least two twinkies hats in there...nice work sir! I used to have a bunch of hats and would buy them frequently, but my wife got sick of it real quick...and I also noticed that I pretty much wore the same grubby twins hat all the time...I will post a picture of that badboy sometime...

Wini, I actually have 3 or 4 Iowa hats, they are NIKE though, a couple ISU ones too...JBINGS, I have the blue rocks hat with the moose on it! I am thinking about ordering the Celery Dude one soon...
