KOTW Poll

Ok so I wanna spice this up a little bit. Since the rosters are deep enough (IMO) to keep it west, central, East and w/e. So I have a proposition. Please vote and give me some feedback.

League Style (Draft)

Ok so with this approach we will have a master sign up and two captains and a few days before the start the captains (Preferrably me and Hop) We will choose our teams. (Position of your draft round will never be disclosed to keep away from fat kid issues) Max people to play each game would be 9v9 if we get that much interest. Thats 18 people. Redraft after 8 weeks to get to know other people and see how they play.

Kickball Style

2 Captains 1 signup. Teams maps and spawns all chosen in the lobby so pretty much you would have a different team map and spawn each week. CAPTAINS CHOSEN AT RANDOM.

Get off my lawn! I guess I am old and nostalgic. I voted to keep it the same. There are some good rivalries between UK,EC,CE,and WC.

I don't give a shit, i just want to kick some ass. I have my best games in 30v30 lobbies.

I did vote kickball style, I like the idea of not committing weekly as i can only make it every other week.

Agreed. The captain idea is a good one, I just want the teams to be competitive. If you get a team of slaying monsters vs. a team of shlubs like me who are lucky to string a killstreak together long enough to get a UAV up it may be really unbalanced. Each team needs a good balance of assault and support.

Sorry for new newbie question - but when you say "stay the same" - that means people just sign up weekly and we play?

And when you say "redraft after 8 weeks" does that mean you have to be around for 8 weeks of sessions? I would like to play, but no way my wife gives me an 8 week pass through dinner time on Sundays. I should be able to get in for some though.

No dumb questions. I too had a hard time committing to the King of the Week (KTOW) since Sunday afternoons were hit and miss. It was cool though, I played when I could. Everyone understands we have other priorities in life.. The stay the same refers to the original divisions the clan had. we were broken down by time zone in an effort to combat lag and the KTOW arose from that.

Another newbie question.....What exactly is KOTW? 30v30 Dom?

If you wanted to put the work in Vegas, I think it would be possible to have the League Style hard core teams as well as the more casual version like we've had in the past. That way there is an option for people who do not make the cut or cannot commit to being available for 2 months.

KOTW for me has always been about sharing the fun with whomever wants to participate, open door policy. Not sure how I feel about having A and B teams, wouldn't want anyone to feel slighted, more-so I'd be pissed if I didn't make the cut .

Ahhhh...got it, and thank you for the link...that was very helpful. I also now understand why I see "EC30" in some folks tags.

I will let the veterans decide method...but will throw my hat in for the east coast for the rumble this Sunday...I got permission.

I think picking Capt's each week and doing a kick ball style draft would make it more competitive by keeping the teams relatively balanced week in and week out dispite who signs up each week.

That's the first time I ever saw that about KOTW. I like the idea of rotating game modes. I think it would allow us to have some crazy fun and try some new things.

I vote for a kickball style with 2 captains.

I have an idea for the captains. They will be picked from the winning team but we can change how they are picked. For example one week will be the top 2 scores will become captains and then the following week the 2 lowest scores will become captains. A few other examples could be top 2 kills, top 2 deaths, top 2 caps.

I love this idea, all except the time. Damned wife and kids!
