I got Nuketown, Damnit

OK so I got all that mess worked out. My wife threw away the paper with the Nuketown code on it. I sold that copy, took my other prepaid card to Waltard and got another copy. Those scam artists are selling every copy they have with the preorder bonuses actually. I got into a bit of an argument with the pencil neck weirdo behind the counter in the electronics department over that. If you convince me to buy a product before it comes out under the assumption that I would have something that other people wouldn't, then you give that thing to everybody, you did somethin wrong.

On a positive note, my wife won't be messing with my shit anymore. Nor will the neighbor's wife. Alright then.

Yip thats the first thing i noticed when i picked up my copy from gamestop the next day of release ....they were handing out the same copies they gave to me as they gave to people walking in and purchasing it right there and then!

I asked the girl behind the counter if i had my nuketown pakage enclosed to which she replied, of course everyone has, So i would've got the map even if i hadn't pre-ordered?
To which i got the big blank stare and an excuse of i'm not sure i've had a long night but i can find out if you want to wait......Yeah right like i'm going to wait any longer!!

So folks,whats the point of pre-ordering for extra content when they are handing it out at the door wether you pre-ordered or not!

It was meant for pre-orders or launch day buys - if a store over orders for more than what they have reserved they will still sell them...

Yes I think there are limited copies because I know of people that have copies without Nuketown. Doesn't matter anyone as Nuketown will be part of the season pass now.

If i remember correctly the nuketown 2025 map was the third wave for which you had to have pre-ordered by a certain date to receive. or at least that's the way it came across to me!

Am i the only one that was under that impression leading up to the release?

Maybe i just fell for the "hype".

If you sell something and say "you only get this if you buy it this way" then that doesn't turn out to be the case, we call that false advertising.

I love my city. It is far enough away from the big cities where midnight launches/black fridays are nothing more than an hour or two affairs without camping for it, yet it still has its big stores so that I don't need to travel far to participate in them.

Just bought a copy, launch weekend and guess what? I got Nuketown too.

I've seen this before with a bunch of other games as well. I didn't preorder, was still contemplating on the season pass, so was looking for the hardened edition at walmart for price comparisons and such. As walmart seems to be one of the weird ones that will get the good stuff and still has it. The guy happens to have a care package tucked behind the cash, i'm a sucker for black and orange.

The only title of late that seem to understand this preorder principle is borderlands 2, if you want the mecromancer you have to pay for her, she's not part of the season pass. but i imagine there are more than a couple of copies with the code hiding in places.
