BLACK OPS 2: Week 1

So what are everyone thoughts on Blops 2? I've heard a lot of mixed emotions.

After getting used to it I am enjoying it a lot more. At times there are still connection issues which is very frustrating. It seems like you either win by 100 or lose by 100 there is no middle road. It is almost like 1 team gets the advantage of connection or the other does. I think we have only had maybe 5 close games and I have played almost 300 matches.

I'm liking it. The Pick 10 is pretty cool, but I'm not liking the only one Scorestreak. It was better when you could change per class.

I think a lot of the mixed emotions come from relearning the maps, guns, etc. Overall, it's pretty good so far!

Its not bad. Its better than than Blops 1. But it will never take the place of MW3 for me. Im getting more used it. Some of the maps just suck. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

Mixed feelings. Learning to adjust to how differently it plays to MW3 but as I play more I'm starting to like it more and more. Don't think I'll ever like the Half time in domination Next they'll be putting in the option to have a Time Out and each team could huddle up round a flag to regroup and recoup!!

Still learning some maps - hoping the party/host migration stuff gets fixed as well as Elite issues - other than that having a blast and kicking ass

Liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

I like the maps (with 1, or 2 duds: Express) and so far I'm enjoying them a lot more than MW3 (still think the MW2 maps overall have been my fav).

Really like the pick 10 system.

A bit disappointed that after a couple of closed private matches I've already decided what primary weapons I'll be using sticking to, whereas with MW3 it took me awhile to assess and experiment...which was fun.

As far as connection...I feel it's been pretty good and actually the only time I've had issues is when I play with the clan.

Best is the Mute option!

Overall I give it a 8.5 outta 10.

I like most of the maps and the game play is neat. I actually kind of like the new score streak system although, it's not far off from how MW3 worked. I think that that lag compensation that Activision introduced into the game I think starting with Black Ops (?) was the worst idea ever. I don't pay $55 / month for the fastest Internet speed just to be slowed down... I've experienced the same issues with migrations and group issues as well as rubber bullets and a rubber dildo for a knife. *slap* *slap*

Honestly, I'm still not feeling the love for this game, as I mentioned in another post, Spawns and lag are terrible IMHO... I was so frustrated over the weekend that I just went back to MW3 even though it was double XP weekend on BOPS2. This never happened to me before, no in MW or MW2....

Any one know what happend to NukeTown on the Xbox, it's totally disappeared from the playlist and was my favourite

I've only played 10 hours so far, but it's been fun. i took me a few hours to get the hang of all the changes, but i'm really starting to enjoy it. I have had a few wtf moments, but i'm sure we all have.

I'm a rusher. I feel that this game rewards people whom tend to be campy. That is my only issue with the gamer, i've come to the realize the fact that i'm going to die more unless I change my play style. Which will never happen; sitting in a corner is not my idea of fun. It has been fun getting to play with missler......

I'm a rusher but this game has me getting kind of campy on most of these maps. These maps are just too complex in that this whole extra level (height wise) with windows in every direction is just insane. The lag and all that the first few days was atrocious... until Saturday when it wasn't all too bad, which made the game a bit more tolerable for me... only to go right back to shit Sunday.

Just to vent I've never liked the sounds on BLOPS games. The running sounds like two muffled coconuts being hit together.... the maps look too cartoony. Explosions?? Again sounds like water ballons and pillows exploding. I play these games with my surround sound pretty high becasue I like it sounding like Im in the middle of a war... my windows rattle.. my kids often ask me to turn it down... haha But these BLOPS gam,es just sound terrible to me. IMO

The gun sounds?? To me they all basically sound the same... even when not supressed it's hard to tell the difference to me.

The animation on some of these streaks (some of them from above are a joke) I mean a few of them happen so fast I don't even know what I am looking at. Saw a final kill cam with that warthog and that was okay, was slower so you could see some of what was happening. There is one (I dont know exaclty what streak it is) looks like a pidgeon flying at 150 MPH taking a huge shit on you... and it's over All in about 1.5 seconds.

I just don't have that same "having fun" feeling the MW2 & MW3 games had.

Thank god I met you guys here because playing this game is fun.. only in a sense playing with you all makes it fun. PLaying solo blows... I could play MW2 & 3 solo and have a bit of fun.. but this game... not.

If I hadn't met up with you guys I may have snapped this game in half after that first few days. But I guess now being more used to it, it isn't as bad. ut by no means as good as MW series to me.

But I will put up with it for the year until MW4 comes out.

Fucking lag is a joke. I went from four bars to one back to three Connection interrupted constantly flashing. And when it wasn't I was being killed by bullets that weren't even appearing on my screen. When it ran fine just killed by little fuckrards sitting in windows.

Yea me Psycho and Fifty were on, whole lobby had 1 bar then ended - then tried to join 3 matches and kept getting kicked/errors - said fuck it and got some chinese food instead - will try it again in a few

Thank God I'm not alone I completely feel your pain Blackhawxx I have played all the Call of Duty games but this one is just not fun for me. As you say the only thing that makes me want to play it is because of you guys. Another vent it is just me or everything is so dark that you can't tell where the enemy is?

Well....I'm loving this game thus far.
Maps seem to be far more complex than before which works to my advantage since I rush mostly with a shotty.
Pick ten system is great.
Not having an issue with lag all that much. I would highly suggest you watch Driftors video on router buffer bloat.
Love the weapon prestige but was surprised at how long some of these titles/calling cards will take to earn.

My wife made a comment the other day while watching me die and me bitching about it. She said the game looks/feels fake. She liked MW3 better as at least, it's like watching the world's worst Rambo playing on TV.

Now that that idea is out there, I feel like she's right, it feels fake.

I do good most of the time. It's when you run into those gunfights that you know you won by pumping 14 bullets into a guy and he kills you with 4 or 5 that just makes me rage. Then these guys know they can run right through you and continue to do so and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

On a plus side I do have my gold mp7 think I am going to go for gold on all the smg's and get the diamond camo I have most of the challenges for the msmc done already. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to get a 150 kills with no perks or attachements for a certain camo is a idiot by far the most frustrating thing I had to do so far.

I think the game play is just as good as MW3. They just need to fix all the little glitches that keep make everyone lose connection
