Challenges

Anyone know which challenges reset when you prestige?

I don't think any of them do?

The challenges are heavily vested in the guns and attachments as well as the game modes.
My guess would be that anything that is NON gun or attachment related would reset when you prestige your soldier class. The gun & attachment challenges reset when you prestige your gun.

There are 55 levels per Prestige, with 10 Prestiges, similar to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. However, Prestiging no longer resets weapon experience or unlocks, it no longer wipes challenge progress and instead is intended to be another step in progression.

When a player Prestiges, they earn a Prestige Unlock Token that unlocks an item forever, similar to using a Prestige Token for unlocking Gear in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. There are also three options they must select from:

Unlock an extra Custom Class, with a maximum of 5 extra
Completely reset stats to "truly start over"
Receive a "Refund" of all used regular tokens
"It's like respecting or re-rolling your character in Call of Duty," said David Vonderhaar, explaining how the 'Refund' system will work. If you decide to take a different path with your unlock tokens, the refund option will lock all content, return all of your tokens, and allow you to carve a new path.

Upon reaching Level 55 of Prestige 10, a new prestige icon will be unlocked, instead of the regular icon unlocked when Prestige 10 is entered.



I've completed 249 challenges so far and another 28 that are about 90% or more done.
Will be great this time to not have everything reset every prestige.

Thanks Chaz, I was looking at my challenges, and I know at had tomahawk kills, but it was show I had none. But when I prestiged, I hit the refund button on my tokens. Won't do that again. For the record, I have 215 closed. I have only got one gun completely maxed with gold camo, the MP7.

I only have 157 done. but I put the elit app back on my phone so maybe I'll be better about challenge whoreing in game now I can look them up as I play.

I'm wondering if anyone else is getting different stats from the game stats, phone app and the elite website? I also don't like the new elite, i really liked being able to figure out my own percentages. i wish i knew how many times i died too.

I have been getting a lot of bad info showing on Elite (i.e. zero points for games that I completed, partial games that I never played showing, and a public game that shows that it was on Nuketown when it wasn't.)
As for the stats, I believe that you can see those in the Barracks in-game, but I'm not certain.

I like using the elite app on my iPhone to keep me up to date on challenges and tracking about 45-50 of them and concentrate on those. There is definitely some delay time from game to it updating on the app. I still prefer the app to finding the status of my challenges in the barracks. I'm up to 352 completed now with another 11 between 80 & 100 percent. The challenges definitely help with making progress on levels.

I haven't done any of the challenges yet.... need to start them.

I also have issues with the Elite system.... I modify my classes, then when I go to the xbox and login, it tells me that it can't update the classes or something and I lose all my changes. Anyone else have that problem?

Viper, same thing happens to me on the PS3. No changes migrate over to the game from the website. FAIL. lol
