| What’s in a Gamertag?
Mine is play on my heritage (Yellow) and my fondness on all things redneck i.e. what would jihad look like if my friends from back home would have to phonetically spell it (GeeHawd).
My question to y’all is if you fell like divulging that information what is the story or what is the history of your Gamertag?
This is more a curiosity thing for my mind.

| The Rat Pack comes from when I first got into playing fantasy baseball & football about 15 years ago. I joined a league mid-season when someone quit and I needed to come up with a team name. So the Rat Pack was born.
To avoid trying to remember different team names, I use the name for all the leagues I play. One year when I signed up for a national contest I found out the name was already in use. I was irritated I couldn't be the one "Rat Pack" of the contest so I added the Indy for Indianapolis. That way I was at least going to be Indy's Rat Pack.

| In the beginning, I was awful. Just fucking awful. I estimated that I played about as well as someone with no thumbs or fingers. | |

| Mine is pretty self explanatory. I created my gamertag a few years ago when my son Evan was born and I'm his "dadda". At first he couldn't say daddy | |

| 2 reasons for mine. I went to the Univ. of Houston and mascot is Cougars. I have been known to go nuclear on the message boards after losses (my school has a tradition of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory). I was also a shitty pitcher like Nuke LaLoosh in Bull Durham | |

| Mine comes from when I was a teenager I had a CB radio and my handle on there was Psycho. Also I like the pics of the Grim Reaper so I added the two togethor and got Psycho Reaper the 33 at the end was how old I was when I made up the gamertag. | |

| "What is the Speed of Dark?" was a t-shirt my mother (yes, I love her) bought me to bridge the gap between leaving New York theater lighting work and starting a PhD in engineering. I got a little too much into physics and talked a little too much about relativity, just once, and did some irreversible damage. So now we're back on philosophy to dampen my math, and I'm left wondering what's left once all the light goes out. Like that quiet moment in a Host Migration when you wonder whether we're all gonna make it, maybe, together....
Oh, and I will kill your character quickly. Sometimes. Maybe 1/2 the time. Probably. You've got a chance. |

| Disclaimer: Nerd moment impending... but it kinda ties in with itself, in a way....? As a teen I saw the word 'ArcaniX' on a playing card somewhere and it caught me... I looked up what I figured to be the root word ("Arcane") and found: Ar-cane Adjective Understood by few; mysterious or secret.
I had a strong affinity for this concept, particularly at the time, both as an individual and about my hobbies (gaming, programming, etc...), so it stuck. Hard. Forever, in fact. =)

| About 5 years ago, I was in an adult kickball league on a team called "the scramble". However, the team captain was big into anagrams so on our shirts the front read "helmet crabs" which is an anagram of "the scramble". For the back of the shirt where your name would go we used an anagram of our names. For my name, it anagrams to Mr. Crapshine or Nips Charmer. Both were cool but really liked Mr. Crapshine. I pretty much use it whenever I need an alias or team name. My wife's name anagrammed to impaired hen.
Adult kickball was pretty fun. It produced my second greatest team athletic moment when I kicked a grand slam to help preserve our run for the league title. For that I won the "Denny's" award at our team banquet.

| I've changed gamertags like 8 times over the years...from Mr. Midnight (friends decided to all do pornstar names) for a year, to BarackObama13 (I can't remember if it was MW2 or Halo 2 or something but it would say "Killed by BarackObama" ...i loved it ...I'm a NRA member and thought it was hilarious and Ironic but the constant racist slurs etc and hate mail made me change that) I grew up playing soccer and Running, adventure racing, obstacle races etc. There's a really cool Obstacle Race called Spartan Race (Utah hosts a "Spartan Beast" race which is 10ish miles thru the mountains with obstacles and other exhausting shit...My friend and I helped push the recruiting last year to get it more popular, as it was only the 2nd year it was done in Utah, so there came my gamer tag. Check it out. SpartanRace.com | |

| when I created my gamertag I played only one game, the EA nhl series. I also live and breath hockey (do not even get me started on this lockout) so my gamertag was heavily influenced by that.
korupt - that is the name of the ice hockey team I play on in real life AZ - the state I live in 09 - the number I wear.

| Very cool thread!
Ok, back in MW2 is where I popped my cherry in multiplayer. I created my gamertag and bought my gold membership for XBL the same day. I knew I was going to get my ass kicked and man handled like a piece of meat or a "slampiece" at a drunken frat party. Originally my gamertag was actually Dr Slampiece. Then I tried to change my email address associated with it and screwed something up saying this gamertag is already taken so I said fuck it and created Sr Slampiece.

This gamertag was formerly DrunkSlampiece and before that it was AppetiteForScabs. Hilarious Slam! My gamertag is TAZ for Tucson, AZ. Born and raised. Super pride filled college town/city that loves UofA. Littleking is what Ryan means. Always a joke in my house my wife's name means Queen and mine is "little" King.
