prestige master help

I have been working on becoming a prestige master and so far I am at your prestige 7. Does anyone have any advice to progress through the prestiges a little faster. I have been at this for over 8 days of gameplay and becoming a little frustrated... help

Try using different weapons to gold an diamond mate. Then also go for the challenges in the barracks part for different equipment. Probably know this anyway lol. I'm only coming up to my 8th prestige myself as the maps have been boring me waiting for dlc 2. So more time to invest more then!!

^What Wez said. Lol I feel your pain. Am also trying to get there and have the same amount of hours in. Also, what game type you playing the most?? Dom I guess?? From what I've read before, hardpoint gets you the most XP so you might want to give that a shot.

I found while I play mostly Dom... The bigger points are in HQ and even some Kill Confirmed are both higher or games.

And when they have the double XP weekend plan a marathon session. I went the last double xp weekend playing nuke town 24/7 the whole time... And went up two prestiges for the entire weekend. Was getting 20-40000 XP every other game

Shush, it's a grind. You gotta put in the time. My highest scores per minute are Dom and Hardpoint. Use up your EMP/Flash/Con to get the extra points for assits. Get those guns gold. That's my advise for you.

Blackhawk nailed it, Nuketown on DLXP weekends is the ticket.

Bird is right... Dom is a good way to rack up the points. Also, Kill Conformed is pretty good if you go after the tags. And if you are having a hard time getting your kill streaks try setting them to the lower ones. UAV's, counter UAV's, Sentry or Gaurdian, they all atleast will give you assist points. One more thing to remember about Dom... Capture the flags!!! If your k/d is not that good, don't worry just play the objective of what ever game mode you choose and you will rank up in no time. Also, it helps if you play on a regular basis with the same people. I play with the same 10-15 people every night, and it is a blast.

Everyone has good points. Shush, go to Elite and see what game types are your highest score per minute (SPM) For me it's Dom. Hardpoint, KC. Also, remember to keep prestiging your guns. If your playing with a gun thats maxed out, you're leaving XP on the table. Same thing with score streaks. Use streaks that earn assist points like UAV, Counter UAV etc. Their not as much fun but they help out your score. Lastly check out your challenges and which ones you are closes to completing and which one have the most XP to pay out and work on those.

I play a lot of the Chaos Moshpit under the Bonus playlist (assuming that have it on PS3 as well) b/c all different kinds of game modes come up.

My highest SPM is HQ (I think) - followed by Hardpoint, Kill-Confirmed and THEN dom...so make sure you're playing the modes that get you the most amount of pts for the time you're playing.

Obvious, but easily overlooked.

I saw a video on this the other day and it works. Don't know how y'all are with the axe but I was getting 600 points per kill with it by banking it off the ground in front of people.

Or just wait till the next Nuketown 24/7 moshpit and you'll prestige in an hour!

ya, I just hit prestige 5 and I have completed a lot of the challenges already, outside of weapons. So I guess it's onto those weapons I hate lol... I get great xp on Dom and HQ, kill conformed sucks for me...I always get killed before getting the tags..lol

I wish I could put more time in on any double XP weekend, but the time I can put in helps alot I went through 20 levels in 1 3 hour session. I have 2 younger kids and my wife works all weekend every weekend..

Shush, I'm at Prestige 7 too. Don't worry, you'll get there. We have 8 more months to go, with probably a few double XP's in there too. Everything everyone said is spot on. Use different weapons. Attachments give XP too, so use different ones. Check your challenges and see what is close to being done for more XP.

But remember to keep a few classes set the way you want them and some that are the guns that you don't use much (mostly because you dont like them) so if you start to get frustrated then you can use a class that you are comfortable with so you don't end up RAGING just because it is a grind doesn't mean that you have to start to hate the game this way if you need to you can go back to your tryhard or bread and butter class so you can get the enjoyment back in the game.

Thats a good point. I wish I didnt get so determined to finish a gun/attachment that I won't switch during the middle of a game and end up being all pissy the rest of the night because I cant get 100 headshots with the stupid Chicom.

LOL Yeah, I can only use that shitty thing in hardcore for a couple games before Im done for the night with it.

Yeah I came up with that because I am in the middle of the grind to get the Gold camo for the guns and I can snipe but I am not all that great at it I rather be the objective/slayer in the middle of all the action than sniping from afar. I will start out on the sniping maps with a sniper rifle and if things go well then I stay with them if they suck on monkey balls then I switch to something I am comfortable with so I don't end up hating the fact that I wasted a night playing something I usually have fun with but not when I am grinding and failing.
