| Hi everyone,
Is having a headset manditory for playing games with the clan?
I don't own one you see. Any advice on a good one to buy and if it is completely necessary is very welcome.
Cheers!

| No but highly advisable especially when playing DOM., so you can say "B is clear", or "oh crap they got me at A"....lol
Bluetooths work and are rather inexpensive |

| No it is not manditory, I will say from personal experience that it is much more enjoyable to have one and use one. Always some good talks on here. I have the Turtle Beachs PX21's they are ok not the most durable in my opinion. There is a thread somewhere that talks about the different headsets the clan is using. |

| A cheap and nasty bluetooth for a phone will get ya started. You can decide for yourself after that if ya want better. |

| If you end up liking playing with the clan, and most do, you will probably get one because it is soo much fun making fun of the stupid things your teammates are doing. Like the other day I had a mortor team and 3 bitch buggies to unleash so I was hiding behind a dumpster and I hear darkker say "fish what the hell are you doing in the garbage". It is not manditory and plenty will play with someone without a mic but you will get more out of the game wheather it is just a bluetooth or a gaming headset. |

| Yeah it's definitely nice to have headphones. I'm another Turtle Beach owner. Mine are broken as hell though. Sound fine, but both sides are duct taped which causes the earpieces to stick out at weird angles so then I wrap a yoga band around my head. I look SOOO awesome when I play. |

| I think I would have stopped playing this game looooooong ago if I didn't have a headset.
Some of you probably wish I didn't have a mic.... |

| Definetly get a headset. By no means mandatory, but you are missing out on a lot of the fun without one. I would say over 50% of the fun I derive from BO is the interclan chat. It is worth it to get a full headset. The bluetooth will work, but unless you are real careful to set the microphone sensitivy down and keep the tv down in the background there is so much background noise that you will probably get muted anyway. |

| Gaming headset will change your experience almost as much as joining this clan will.

| Cheers guys.
Will definitely look into getting some. Played my first game with the clan on Wednesday, really enjoyed it, but could hear everyone chatting to each other and couldn't join in. |

| Any of the Turtle Beach headsets are worth it, to me anyway. I have the PX21. |

| Rinse and repeat from above, Raphael. I have the TB px21's and love them. Volume control for game and chat are separate so I can adjust it to hear clannies. It transmits my voice into the headset so I am not yelling. For the time many of us spend on this game it is definitely worth it and improves your enjoyment of the game immensely. I did fib to the wife on the price though. Some others have mentioned on the forums that they are on the fragile side but I have not had a problem with mine. Perhaps I treat them a bit gently having heeded the others frustration. Anyway, I look forward to hearing you on the battlefield. |

| I have used my TB headset for a year now and have not experienced any problems.
A friend had a lot of problems with his, but it was because his small children used them as hammers. My children are grown up and out of the house so I am sure that factors into that. |

| I started with blue tooth and then upgraded to a headset. Big difference. Not only for communication but to hear enemy players moving around you. Killed a guy six times in a row because I could hear him moving around me. Got some fan mail on that one, so i made a clip in my file share and named it after him "CAPSLOCK owned." It isn't in my file share anymore. Headphones make the gaming experience better. |
